Hey all,
I have bought a new computer and have left this game for a little while. Unfortunately, the old computer on which I played this has now passed away. So, I have tried reinstalling the game.
This time, however, I have windows7 and I have not changed anything since maybe march 2012. I tried logging into my old account but it asked me to basically set up a new one. How do I get my old account back? (I imagine that I had a year or so before I had to log in again, it would be a shame if I have lost everything).
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Need some help
unfortunately, it sounds like your account has been deleted. There's a 6 month decay on inactive accts
Re: Need some help
Really? So no way I can reclaim my items and deeds etc?
I was under the impression that i had a year???

Re: Need some help
It was a false impression then. From what I've heard mentioned by +Coli the decay timer is not set in stone. It is 1 month minimum, but after that it depends on the account age, activity and perhaps other unmentioned variables. 4-6 months seems to be an average decay time, unless you just logged in, looked around and never played again (which I understand is not the case here). I've seen accounts with more inactivity than 6 mths, but a whole year is pretty rare. Of course assuming you didn't ask +Coli for the no-delete. You might try e-mailing him about the matter, but don't be surprised if you don't get any results. I think even backups go only as far as 1 year.
Re: Need some help
Ok thanks Ilsanor.
So in essence, I should have done better research.
Alright, well, since I have to be a noob again, can you suggest any good ways to earn a bit of cash, get good items and I guess, how to use razor. Last time I played, I didnt use razor for the first 8-9months at all.
Also, is there any point still of collecting organics and is there any house space left?
It is disappointing to know all the game time has been for nothing. I guess, like a child, I'll just sulk for a little while and then I will create another account

Re: Need some help
Hope you learned your lesson and will do appropriate research this time - ask +Coli first. It may or may not be possible to restore your account, but you will never know unless you ask.
As for making money as a newbie not much has change in the last year - rat quest, noob champ and hunting with your pets in decent leveled dungeons.
Razor - http://www.uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4708 that topic has the instructions how to get it running if simply installing doesn't work.
Collecting organics - no, sell them. I have no idea why some people tell newbies to collect them. By the time you have the gear to do bio-engineering (assuming you want to) you will most likely have enough cash to buy them. Selling them as you get them will buy you some good gear right from the start.
Housing - Patience young padawan.
There are spots to place houses (and even castles) - you just need to look good enough. Don't dream of a cozy 4x 18x18spot right next to a world tele, though.
