A bit of grief over Travesty....

Ok guys, great changes overall, but you forgot to warn that I shouldn't step in with my pets ready to go.

Just yesterday, I went in unprepared, and died for it.
So today I got at the summoning stone (teleporting one, when you think about it) and remembered to unshrink everybody, get their life bars next to me, and there I go.
But hey, here's a new wall, with a gravestone. I double click the stone, and get nothing. I take a step towards the wall and there you go. I crossed to the actual travesty fightining pit, but my pets stayed.
Now, alone, I have no chance at all against travesty. So I go looking for a way to try to get things under control. Maybe a pet summoning stone or something.
But walking around, the only change I see is a red teleport pad. I step into it and it tells me to say "exit" to get out of the room. I try it, in the hopes that it will send me back to that preparation room, but I'm sent to just outside the summoning stone. Petless, to make it worst - which means either going back to get them, or using the pet summoning stone. Luckily, I had a second key set. If that wasn't the case, I could either pay to get my pets back, or farm the keys without any pets to help - because my five slots were occupied with pets on that waiting room.

Ok, so bottom line is that there were more changes than the ones I read about in chat yesterday, before going to bed, and I seemed to have lost the official news over it.
So I check the forum, and I didn't read it wrong: there was nothing over this little detail.
I go back with another key set, and I use the chance to check the book with instructions. Guess what? Not only it didn't change, it still says to be prepared to fight before going in - and any pet user will read it as "unshrinked and life bars pulled".

So, overall, the changes were great.

But you guys really should give fair warning about all of it. It's no fun loosing a key set over not having the chance of knowing the new set of rules.

And before anyone tells me "oh, but it's just like Lady Mel is now", two things to consider:
a. Not everybody fought Lady Mel after the changes - myself being one who didn't; and
b. There was no other way to know it but experiencing it - and it should have been. Excelsior Daily should have mentioned it, and there's a official book with instructions telling me exaclty otherwise.

So that's just a little bit of feedback, hoping it happens differently in new changes to come. And I hope I didn't sound too displeased about the bulk of it - the changes (lucky third time) were great overall.

P.S.: heres a long shot: any chance I get that key set back? I know it would mean verifying all my history, and that's a lot of trouble, but hey, I'm taking a loss here for no reason at all. Is it fair to leave it that way?

In their defense they hear complaining when they take the spawns down entirely to implement/test new things. So as a courtesy they try to pop things in smooth like while things remain running for our convenience. I imagine motivated by keeping people happy. I am sure it wasn't the right way without a planned roll out since there was an obvious buggy situation sounds like but just keep in mind they are also just doing the best they can. I am sure they would be in heaven if they had some more staff floating around doing some of the other stuff for them like they used to have. I read that +coli was trying to help with that.... Did anything ever happen? I haven't seen any "trainees" or anything lol

Just playing around but seriously +Coli, hook these guys up with some help so they stop getting trashed with wearing all the hats all the time so to speak (complaints, bug reports, general drama monitors, new content generators, afk offender monitoring)
