Jailed again :(

Post by Locke »

Hello

I want your opinion other player and it's not about bashing on gm... ok i'm a troublemaker i was jailed again for 125 task. Because i wanted to show the game to a sister for some minute and she named her character LeGrosTabarnak( mean The Big Bastard in english, a austin power allusion)... yeah 2 sensitive rules are in relation with this problem and i was jailed.

What i'm asking here is to know your opinion, should i just quit the shard or stay and do my task, because it's psychologically killing me and I don't know if people really like me on this shard. I know i did some bad act in the past(like camping lord oaks, saying a bad *s* word in public), but i try to help other a lot with my free shop, crafting free yumi or platinium armor for young player... crafting lockpick, inviting and accepting player for champ, helping some other in GoC quest, doing hide and seek game, dropping item and gold when i'm stealth, buying useless ressource a good price(like player head/40k) ... If you don't want to see me anymore on the shard share your opinion after all you're another player interacting with me... i just don't want to stay at a place where every other player don't like me for some random reason... I know i'm not perfect but at least i'm working on myself...

p.s gm: i already know you're opinion, you don't care and it's fine, but please don't erase this post

Sincerely
-Locke

I will not delete or move your post.

But understand this, by making this post you are declining the privilege of privacy. If you do not wish to have details posted in reply to your comments, then you can delete it. If you accept that there will be a certain loss of privacy for essentially commenting about your jail time/offenses in public and that the staff may reply with further facts regarding why such decisions were made, then you may leave the post as-is.

I genuinely have no problem with the post either way, I just want you to be aware that the staff will eventually comment on the matter and let you know that by taking it to the forums you are refusing the opportunity of keeping your various offenses and punishments private. We are trying to keep as much transparency in our staffing as possible, while still allowing players the opportunity for privacy when they wish it.

First...
I want you to play here as long as you want, as long as you are enjoying it, and as long as you follow the rules. Also, I would like to thank you for all you have done to help players with gear and activities.

Having said that, I need to make some points. We don't really punish people, we punish accounts. This isn't the first time we have heard that someone got on somebody's account and had too much fun with it. We don't know if it really was someone else, or if it was you. I realize that it sucks, because in a way it should be the other person getting punished. But, how would we go about doing that? We aren't here to punish people, we are here to preemptively block violations and address the ones that occur. So, in this situation, we are forced to address the source of the issue...your account.

What I want from this is for you to work off your rock jail as fast as you can, and then be released to continue playing. Clean slate, staying out of trouble, and having fun. That is all the staff want.

Please don't compare jail to fun with math. You'll taunt me into being bad.

You stay! Work now.. You play later! You stay!

Stay and have some fun, man. I don't think anyone taking this fun for what it is hates somebody gut over it.
Oh, and feel free to drop money when you see me coming your direction.

I understand how this happens because I let my son lay on my account as well. He is 8 and doesn't always make the right decisions. While I haven't (thankfully) had anything crazy happen on this shard. He has almost gotten me in trouble on my previous one. It sounds though as if you have a history of getting into trouble. I am sure that factored into the staffs decision to take the action they did. Personally, what interactions I have had with you have been pleasant and I like you and would like you to stay. But I understand the staff can only take action according to the facts and against the account. Since you can only have one. That unfortunately jails your char. Sorry and hope you stay. But I truly believe the rules to be for the greater good of everyone on the shard

I don't know you either, but I have seen your name, your posts, your shop. My hope is that you will stay. To me anyways, you have become a fixture on the shard. Just think through all possible outcomes, before you do them and you won't go to jail anymore.

If you need a friend send me a message. I'll keep you out of trouble.
btw, I'll need your cc number, home address and your mothers maiden name (jk)

You should stay though :)
(I wasn't joking about the friend thing though)

Hi Locke!
Please don't leave the shard, I've known you since the day we started playing (on the same day, no less!). You're a fixture on this shard and I'd miss you! Your shop helps many people, and so do your "random drops", as well as your hide and seek games. :D

Hope to see you out and about soon.
