ED Suggestions
I've seen some of these on shards many years ago some and some I've come up with. I donated 50 Euro which cost me roughly 70 bucks. I mainly did it so I can make pet leashes and not have to pay 5k gold each time I need one, esp as they are used often. I figured I'd get 2 120's and I'd be good to go. not so though u need gear also zzzzzzzzzz. I should have researched and read more b4 doing so I agree so I take full blame but I have to say that is lame.
Unlimited pet leash
Unlimited shovel
Unl.. other tools
Unlimmited bandage
500k token purchase
1mil gold purchase (now I can buy another house slot deed but without the gold to afford the plot or to build on it is kinda pointless lol.)
I'd love to hear other ideas as I think the shard would as it would generate more income for the shard. so post an idea

No.
As for token/gold purchase, you can do so via [exex (gold -> ED -> gold & token -> gold -> token)

Re: ED Suggestions
Well, You can use EDS as currency or trade it for gold.
No need for unlimited tools. Tools van have up to 60k uses which is perfectly fine imho.
As for unlimited leash: i think there are some enchanted leashes around. Those have unlimited uses. I think they are from the raffle stones in Trinsic. Not sure on these those.
Also, try to avoid thinking of genererating more income for the shard. Leave that up to the admins. They surely know how to trigger us spending our bucks

enchanted pet leashes do have uses afaik, 1000 or something... and tools bought via [exex can have more than 60k uses iircSuperduke wrote:Well, You can use EDS as currency or trade it for gold.

Re: ED Suggestions
last time i made an enchanted leash it has 100 uses and can shrink 5 pets at once. so if you shrink 5 then that is 1 use for each. to make them takes alot of wax so they generally sell between 25k an d 40k. just not worth it to make.(now those statements are pertaining to how it was when i was 3 months away. dont know if they changed)
Re: ED Suggestions
Gaara: even better! Didn't know that as i always craft my own.
Was wrong on the enchanted leashes too.
I quit posting this year....

Re: ED Suggestions
Why would you say that? Am I a mere mortal whose opinion doesn't count? If someone is trying to do something positive and no harm comes from it, why then would u tell them to avoid doing it? That's not just a high horse, it has wings.Superduke wrote: Also, try to avoid thinking of genererating more income for the shard. Leave that up to the admins. Re: ED Suggestions
They're telling you to avoid it because you aren't suggesting anything we haven't heard before and rejected. Unlimited tools/items are not something that would benefit the shard economy.
It might boost donations, but thankfully we are not one of those shards who cares more about making money off of our players than providing a great game experience. Tanking the economy for the sake of a few extra bucks for Coli would just not happen here. Other shards may have different priorities, but ours here at Excelsior is to provide the best free shard around with the most attentive staff and the most balanced game economy we can provide. It is, of course, a permanent work in progress, but one we enjoy - even if it means a little less money goes to Coli from donations.

Re: ED Suggestions
Unlimited anything is not good. That would virtually eliminate the demand for those items because you would buy them once and never again. Not only that, but they have fairly limited use. I have had the same pet leash in my pack for over a year now and don't remember the last time I bought any kind of tool. As for bandages, if you can't afford to buy cloth for 0.8gp each on [exex to make your own bandages, you are failing at UO.Emerson Bridges wrote: Unlimited pet leash

Re: ED Suggestions
Maybe those were not the best idea's I was just post what I've seen on other shards in the past. but to say this isn't a worthy thread who knows someone might actually have a good idea. Just because I haven't posted a "good idea" yet doesn't make it not worthy to post idea's. Even if they are rejected it's an attempt at something positive. but to tell someone to not even try to think or suggest something for the benefit of the shard I am making my home is ludicrous. Even if I come up with 99 bad idea's someone else might have 1 good one. It's worth it. It's not hurting anybody, it's not being offensive to anybody or disrespectful. Why in return to I feel like I've been disrespected for trying to do right? very shameful if u ask me. feel free to delete this post after u read it as I don't want negative to go affect (infect) anybody else.

Re: ED Suggestions
One idea that occurs is a donation access dungeon. Pay your 1ED to get in each time. (I wouldn't suggest a much higher amount, 1ED is easily achievable for even newish players via [exex )
Would need to be something special though.
A pet morph deed. Basically change the appearance of your pet. (Call me crazy but I do want some imp cats
)
Elven appearance.
Sell some of those cool thingies +R uses when doing AFK checks, as house deco's.
"Dangerous animal" animal spawner for houses. Who doesn't want a Dragon spawning on their roof?

Character name: Ebony

I think elven appereance is not possible, afaik it's the same thing as with spellweaving... or somethingAnnachie wrote:One idea that occurs is a donation access dungeon. Re: ED Suggestions
Anything unlimited is a bad idea.
There are times I think that being able to level all skills is a bad idea and does more harm then good. The ability to be "unique" at something is good. Part of UO's charm is that you can survive in the game as a crafter. Where everyone can be a crafter, it takes away a potential part of the economy. Why would I buy anything when I can make it myself?
Any ED reward should be something that adds to the fun factor of the game, not the playability of the game.
