for lower level maps:
Maybe an occasional gargoyle pick axe, a few of the rare jewels, maybe the chance of another t-map (rarely)

maybe any where from 1 - 5 ED's based on the map level, or maybe tokens instead.

I am an avid t-map hunter, even the lower level ones, but all I grab out of the lower level ones is the gold. I have gotten to where I don't even look at the items. It is tough to come up with items that won't water down the market, but still make t-map fun.
Maybe new and rare statues that can only be gotten from t-maps. Something kind of like grave digging, that is mainly deco, and can only be grabbed from maps.

Considering that in other thread we were thinking on how to recycle the huge amount of unwanted items, this also should be reconsidered in T-Map rewards. Maybe reduce greatly the amount of items and only give valuable stuff or tokens/gold/ED. After tons of killing I have also found very little number of maps. About chest contents:
- What about GoC quest items? would be an alternative way to be able to complete quests for people that does not have the combat skills (or team support) to achieve the peerless and also involves effort on it. We all know that GoC pieces can be attained also just with gold, so we are not breaking anything.
- Potion kegs? lockpicks?
- Rare crafting materials dropped by peerless (muculent, corruption, etc)

Just some ideas

Dramoor, I am happy that you have stockpiled thousands of T-Maps in all your shard lifetime and also your great ability to farm money, but please consider that many people in the server does not have your abilities or resources. In many threads I can see your tendency to propose restrictions in economic sense, probably because you have completely safe your income sources. You are not the only one, but few players with the same profile. It is valid, we all have opinion to be considered. Rethink who is a danger for the economy, a laborer or George Soros

so basicly making t lvl6 t maps more atteinable on monster drops and lvl 7 tmaps make them the way lvl 6 are very rare for most of the peps around, u guys need to understand that there is a lot of new players in this shard me included and for us to keep playing and getting better we need to see that getting to be a godlike players is a reachable goal and not some crazy dream which u can attain by playing for 5 years or making a nice donation in order to get the upper hand.

btw, ED's as a reward not only for tmaps but for other things would make this shard even better.

I am good with an occasional 1-5 ED's, but it is important to make them decently rare.
Figuring in the amount of time it takes to make 50k to buy one ED, then maybe 1- 5 ED's would drop on average every 5 or so t-maps. I don't want ED's to become something expected just by digging up a chest.
I don't care if it is ED's, tokens, or gold. I do like the idea of something unique to treasure hunting however.

really excited for this new T-Map stuff to get rolled out. My account is only around 40 days but I was also a little disappointed in the first few T-Maps I did. After reading Yoda's prior post actually made me finish training my Cartography just to be able to do the lvl 6 maps. I haven't struck a BoD or Puglist yet but I'm crossing my fingers

Like many others I pretty much trash all the other maps except for the lvl 6 ones.
