7th Year Anniversery Event

First and foremost, I want to thank +Colibri, +Nyx, and +Veritas for the excellent job they have provided all of this time. I also do not want to overlook all of the other staff, both present and past that have helped contribute to the best shard out there. To show my appreciation, I like to give back by holding events when I hit milestones. This event as the title says if for my 7th Anniversery. Instead of holding several mini find me's, trivia question and short riddle solving events, I decided to hold just one(maybe) event. And for those who got to know me over the years, I like my riddles and for this event, I created a 42 line riddle for all of you to solve. But, to solve such a riddle, one must be properly rewarded for doing so; so I have held my best rewards for this event. Well, to me they are my best rewards and to the winner I hope they agree. Here are the prizes:

Winner takes choice of:
1. Key to my Training Room and use of everything that's in it. (I will be glad to give anyone a private tour of it)
2. +50 stat scroll
3. Dex Bag (Currently has +57 Dex points which includes a blessed 7,7,8 earrings; blessed 8,8,8 ring; blessed Ravenous Shield of Endurance; Jackall's Collar, Dread Pirate Hat; 6,6 bracelet and blessed Gloves of the Pugilist. I am hoping to add Batwings to it before someone wins the bag and add a bless deed to that. I will provide enough gold to buy a pair if I don't.

I would like to think that I would give away the other 2 prizes to the next 2 solvers of the puzzle but I cannot guarantee that someone will solve it and then tell their buddies where it is before they claim the prize, so I might have to come up with another solution. If everything seems above board, then I will let the next 2 claim the remainder.

How to take part in this Event:
I will soon post my riddle on the Forums and make announcement that it is there.
First person to pm me the answer will win their choice from above.
The answer MUST contain the Facet and sextant coordinates of where you think this location is. I alone will make the determination if your coordinates are close enough to count.

Even if I am not on if you think you solved the riddle, your pm will be your ticket to glory. In my previous events, I made every attempt to reply to each pm. This time, if you do not hear form me, and you know I am on or have been on, consider your answer wrong.

Okay everyone, before you read the riddle I just wanted to give you a little background. I was originally planning on making this a major event that included a scavenger hunt to find books that had pieces of a riddle that you had to piece together, then solve just to find a key that would unlock a chest that had another riddle which again, you had to solve that would lead you to a place that had a chest that had to be unlocked with said key. In that chest was a rune to a secret place of mine that would have held most of the stuff I gave away at last month's event. But, it would have also had this riddle which you must now solve to complete the deal. Well, things got too busy in real life and I decided to simplify things and bring it down to what we are starting tonight. The now scrapped quest event was based on a story set in ancient times and the Great War that almost destroyed mankind. If it wasn't for a wise old mage who foresaw it coming and his assistant Senex Emeritus, we would not be here today to live and play in Excelsior. Senex was put in charge to create a riddle that would lead any surviving men to the hidden treasure so we could rebuild our world in case it went badly and Senex and his master did not survive. The riddle pointed to an item at a certain location. Your job, is to solve the riddle and just find that location. The item was never placed. Good luck and I hope you enjoy solving the following riddle.

The Riddle.

Isolated from the madness below, the structure still stands,
Made long ago, by gifted magical hands;
An ancient outpost built for learning,
to aid those eager and most yearning.

It's a place of refuge form the chaos below,
where the feint of heart fear to go;
An oasis among the ancient gray,
Giving safety and solace to those who come this way.

Lords and Elders await thee, with their loyal hounds,
Try to keep moving and not make a sound;
For their there to greet you if you stray wrong,
Stay out of sight and you'll arrive ere too long.

Fresh air is what you need,
A respite from the elements that bleed;
Travel up till daylight blinds you,
Behold a marvel, Gray, white and blue.

Look around, no danger here,
Explore as you want, there's nothing to fear;
At some point, you'll realize that water is key,
But a logical mind is what will aid thee.

The Old Master's Study is where what you seek lies,
But, to find it may take several tries;
You can get so near, yet be so far,
Until you figure out the way in bizarre.

Rise to the level that is demanded,
For you not to leave empty handed;
Use the stairs and the stairs that are not,
To arrive at the level that time almost forgot.

There will be no doubt when you are truly near,
Only other seekers you will now need to fear;
Move quickly following the clues,
Pretty soon, you will be getting your due.

Pulsing Crystals, purple and green,
A bubbling flask, all can be seen;
The Master's Table guarded by fire,
The final destination, that you desire.

He worked alone, above the rest,
Isolation, is what he liked best;
Far from eyes and inquisitive minds,
To perfect his craft for he and his kind.

To come this far, you've show to be able,
what you seek, will be his table.

Congratulations to Richter, Isaac Newton and Ebony who found the location located attached to Sorcerer's Dungeon in Ilshenar. There is a 3rd level there that can only be accessed by teleporting up the stones on the waterfall then stepping off the side. I hope everyone who participated found it challenging and a worthy way to spend your time here in Excelsior. For those of you who may find them annoying, fear not for this was most likely my last event as I am going to be concentrating on other pursuits. I will still play, but I doubt I will accumulate enough items and gold to make an event worthwhile during this time. Happy hunting and have a great Excelsior Day!
