crafting BODs how do you get enough?

Hello.

I've done a few animal taming BODs in my time, haven't really ventured into the crafting BODs yet.

I see people selling high tier BOD rewards... checking wiki, you need really high ore Large BODs to get these rewards.
In my several years on this shard I've only managed to collect a couple of small bods with these ores. Because of the variety of possibilities seems very rare to actually have a full set of BODs to fill (other than normal ore...get these 50% of the time at least).

How are people coming by the BODs to complete for these high rewards?
(Yes I have 120 craft in many cases)

(surely people aren't going to NPC every 3 hours for months... that would not be a fun way to spend my evenings)

Collect BODs with all your characters. Either get your other characters GM and collect every couple hours, or collect a bunch and leave your other characters at 30 or so skill (with plans to fill all of these crappy ones to turn in with your main to get new ones).

I was in the same shoes as you were, and I ended up buying a BOD collection from someone who was leaving the shard. Otherwise, yes it will take some time to get your collection up and running. I'd say your best option is filling a bunch of crappy ones and turning them in with your main.

Part of it's simple math: there are simply too many different bods. Take blacksmithing: 14 resources times 2 qualities times 3 amounts times 3 large sets. So there are 252 distinct blacksmith large BODs and each one requires 3 to 6 *exact* small bods to fill it.

Part of it is that if you push your skill to legendary, you no longer get certain kinds of bods. For example, I'm not sure I've ever gotten an exceptional plain leather footwear tailor bod. Ever. Makes it kinda hard to do cloth tailor large bods.

I'm working a couple of other characters up to try and find out if there's a skill level where I do get exceptional plain leather footwear bods.

I took all my alts crafting skills to 110 which might be overkill but I have noticed their bods are consistently better from what they got even at gm so i feel it was worth the money i spent on resources. ive always loved doing bods but overall i don't think its much of a money maker once you factor in resource costs and time spent collecting, sorting and filling them.
wil you can use any exc leather footwear from regular to ethereal to fill the tailoring cloth lbods.

Hmm, I'll have to try bringing my alts from GM to 110, maybe I'll splurge and even do 120s.
