I'm thinking about how to best go about donating. How much can I give, what should I buy with Eds, etc etc. Before I make any final decisions, I was wondering if there are ever seasonal donation bonuses? Like on Christmas day get an additional 20% ed. Does that ever happen?

Donation bonuses exist already. I believe it's currently uni dye tubs and a 10% bonus on EDs over a certain amount http://www.uoex.net/wiki/ED_Rewards. Seasonal or limited time bonuses have been pretty rare in my time here. In order to answer your question on where you EDs should go, we would need to know more about you as a player and what you're trying to do. There are so many diverse ED rewards that your needs and wants should determine what you purchase. Do you like taming? Buy extra pet slots. Into your house? Extra house slots or combining plots, sinking foundations, etc. Looking to gear up? Relayers, Omni Magus, Druid Books, etc. It would be helpful if you posted your existing gear, stats, what you enjoy doing, how many EDs you have, etc. to get more relevant suggestions. Goof luck!.

Thanks for the info, pariah. I was actually just curious about seasonal bonuses. I'm sorry if my OP was less clear. But since you are offering your opinions; soon to be totem, jackals collar, goc tunic&boots, mistvale legs-sleeves-sash-cloak, gloves of pugalist. My jewels are all str&dex 8. That's my equipment. I'm thinking about +25dex cap increase, and mage armour for my jackals. after that I think I'd want a relayer deed for a fully lvled cavorting club onto a shirt. Then maybe +pet slots or druid book. Am I on the right track, in your opinion?

There used to be Donation bonus's several times a year. The last few years it has only been around Christmas-New Years. It was a certain % more ED and a stronger wooden box. I wouldn't expect that to happen again. Just trying to answer your question.

Thanks melkor. Interestingly enough, I'm going to useChristmas money to donate. So it'll be in that time period anyways. Hopefully I'll get lucky. If they do, would they announce it?

If my memory serves me, its on the Town Criers. It usually becomes a topic in world chat as well. People get real excited about the strong boxes.

Details are usually posted in a book located inside the ED room through the white gate in Trinsic once it has been decided and announced.

In short yes, it is announced at several locations i.e. town criar, forums, etc. on or around xmas time.

Sure, no prob. Alex and Melkor answered you pretty well on the bonus scenario. I usually take an extended break around this time of year so I was completely absent last year, thus I can't remember the donation bonuses. In terms of your equipment/plan, I went with 5 of the +5 stat cap scrolls to get to 150 Dex. That was the very first thing I ever spent EDs on. Personally, I'm not super into pets so I still have just the 5 slots, but I think I am up to 9 relayers (Shirt, Kilt, Robe, Sash, Cloak, Gloves, Bracelet, Feet, Neck) and a 1 handed yumi (Type Changed). Since I played far after Mistvale was created, that wasn't an option for me, so I probably would've done my relayer order a bit differently with that in the equation. I use GOC Chest, Arms, and shield and Gleam Aura Leggings. I have a Crimson Cincture (Next Relayer), an 8/8 Ring (the one after), and Permafrost Earrings (Xmas quest reward from a few years ago). I'm not sure why I listed all of this other than to say that I personally prefer spending EDs on my gear/char. I have just the two house slots, I'm not into deco, and I've never bought a druid book (I prefer to kill spawn the old fashioned way and I don't mind the minor delay in recalling). In terms of Mage Armor deed for jackals, that's a decent idea. It's harder to recoup your cost later on though, as mana regen leaves the value of this deed debatable in some circles.

Personally I wouldn't waste money on a mage armor deed for the Jackals. With mana leech on weapons and mana increase and regen on GOC stuff mana shouldn't be a problem. I've never meditated ever. Once you have several relayers you won't miss the deed.
