Some Treasure Hunting data

Post by Cygnus »

For those of you wondering if you want to give T-Hunting a shot here. Since the upgrade, I wanted to know how profitable Treasure Hunting has become so I ran two trials. One with 4 Devious maps and another with 4 Ingenious maps. The following numbers apply to what was found in the chests, loot from the mobs spawned and any that may have wandered to close and tried to interrupt my excavations. The gold count also includes gems collected during this time and sold to a jeweler. Keep in mind, these chests are full of reagents and all of the scrolls to fill a regular spell book. I also did not tabulate any of the tokens I received from killing mobs and trashing contents but it did total in the thousands.

Four devious Maps - Completed in around 40 minutes
60,979 gold, 1 Ingenious Map, I Clever Map, I Red Soulstone Shard, 2 Buckets, 1 Whole Coconut

Four Ingenious Maps - Completed in about 48 minutes
156, 203 Gold, 1 Devious Map, 1 Green Soulstone Shard, plus 4 regular rewards (2 Lolo Lutes, Arctic Death Dealer, Alchemist's Bauble)

On previous excursions, I have also received Cartography and Lock Picking armor, more buckets, several Ingenious Maps and various coconuts. Still looking for those elusive higher level maps.

So, you make the call. Is Treasure Hunting worth it on Excelsior? It is for me. Thanks +Requiem
