pfft ain't no dang Mage man!

Post by Leeny »

Well, of course I want to optimize every slot possible but I'm a brutal head smashing warrior that wants to show off his big war torn platemail, iz don't wear no squishy old man robe! With that being said, is there anyway to item appearance change my robe to anything other than a robe/cloth? The only deed I thought might work seems to be slot specific and the only other style for robes is well.....more robes! My character is having an identity crisis, he knows he's a slayer of dragons yet feels like the guy at the monastery who keeps telling everyone to stay off the sacred lawn. Anyone else feel like it's a terrible waste of 5 awesome looking slots with many appearance possibilities, to cover them up with one very limited appearance slot? But, I'm not about to waste a solid Relayer slot either. There should be a on/off function for robe visibility.

How about one of the elven robes or another one of the specialty tailor items? My elven robe does not look like the mage robes at all.

Haha shoulda seen that comin Dreamstalker
Thanks for the input Jrad, Elven Robes arnt exactly tough spikey shoulder pads
but I do like the style better than the Hive robe I currently have, thanks.

Maybe the admins can figure out a compromise in the future
for those who would hate to cover all of their neat customized gear
but also don't want to sacrifice a valuable slot over it?

I know there is much much bigger fish to fry,
Just food for thought Game Masters *wink*wink*

*WOW. MIND. BLOWN!* made my day.
You're my favorite +Nyx!

If that demonic armor lookin stone/red shoulder chest combo is usable in robe slot...problem solved.
Also I'll finally get to run around with nothing but small tree leaves covering my junk and hook for a hand :woot:

When I implement the new wearables, I intend to do so with an eye toward which layers are underrepresented currently. Robe slots are a big one, as are waist slots. So, likely some items will end up assigned to slots that aren't 100% "accurate" for the appearance of the graphic itself (an item that appears as a piece of chest armor might end up assigned to the robe slot, for example).

Talismans already exist, though I believe you can count the number in the game on one hand.

Please, more graphics on kilt slot. I hate the kilt on male char.

Your wish shall be granted. :)

I've got a list of under-represented slots and I'll probably request suggestions when the time to implement those items comes around.
