Steam vs Razor?
Is one better than the other? I have never used steam is it more or less user friendly than Razor?
Is one easier to set up macros than the other?
Attack macros seem a bit clunky in razor.
Any opinions?
Steam vs Razor
Re: Steam vs Razor
Give steam a try. You won't go back. You can have both razor and steam installed. They look and work about the same but steam you can do more, plus its got a looter that works.
Re: Steam vs Razor
The only thing Razor does that Steam doesn't is add houses to UOAM. Other than that, the autolooter alone is reason enough to switch. The learning curve with Steam macros is a little steeper, but when you get it figured out it's far superior to Razor.
Re: Steam vs Razor
This question may be premature, I downloaded steam but haven't used it yet (work time) is copying and adding scripts easier than razor? I see a lot of macro scripts posted here I am interested in using What is the process for adding macro scripts in Steam? .

Steam and easyUO are way better than razor... however, I use razor because I know how to use it well and can write scripts for it well. I was never able to figure out how to write my own scripts in the other programs and razor can do everything I want it too... admittedly much less efficiently and not as well.

Re: Steam vs Razor
All but the more complicated Macros in Razor boil down to:
1. Click record
2. Do the task you want to repeat
3. Click stop
4. Add pauses at the appropriate places
I've been told Steam is more complicated but I haven't used it myself.
Razor and steam can both be installed but you can only use one at a time.
You can use EasyUO or OpenEUO as well, in parallel with either Razor or Steam. They provide full programming languages for directing the action of the UO client, but can not record the actions you take inside UO for later playback.
