Off the top of my head as good as the storage thing would be for many players I wonder how much coding would be involved in that. I wouldn't get my hopes up for something like that being implemented any time soon.. As +R has said because of staff change ups this has been a rough year, im just hoping to see a small update or two from Elysium stuffs before the end of the year comes.

as far as coding it shouldnt be too hard i would think. change number x which it is now, to number y. on whatever house structure needs change. i know there has been changes to the housing gump already, so +c or +a is probly familiar with it. the only problem im seeing with this is how much its gonna lag everything with having so many more lockdowns or variable items loaded onto the shard. but i dont know much, was just thinking out load. :D

This is why we were considering allowing more secure storage only. It would only affect the items inside a chest, which (as far as i know) don't load until the chest is opened. Would also provide more uses for stronger boxes.

You'll see some soon Octavious.

I have always said that hoarding as a hobby shouldn't be limited by income bracket.

its a healthy thing to do, I like this storage expansion concept

As of this moment I know of 2 places where one can fit 2 large houses, maybe not both being 18x18s but darn close.

Castle spots on any shard this OSI and many others are taken early on.
Want a castle? You will need to buy it from someone.

Suggesting a limit on housing plots just so you can build your own massive house is arrogant and self serving.
Its the "I arrived late to the party and didn't get the prize syndrome"

Many large players homes are not just 18x18s joined but several much much smaller plots joined together to avoid
certain terrain. Many people have spent 400 ED to place a 8x12 as that's all the terrain will allow and never heard them complain.

If you have several houses joined together and you have no storage you have tooo much crap. LOL
I don't believe housing needs any kind of revamp.

Lots of places to build sure they are not all waterfront with a beach and Unicorns prancing abut, but there are some
darn nice areas, you just need to go look for em.

Please do. For starters, I'd like a double 18x18 spot on grass. Thanks in advance.

Sure 2 18x18s on grass.
No problem, my real estate fee is a 1,500,000 gold.
Ill even supply the gate and recall rune.

Jdi city has alot of oddball plots in it, and expanded over time it took years for some of the houses to drop still waiting on one.

it takes time, not a new scenario

I spend hours and hours and hours running around looking for house spots or ones that fell since last world save. If i put in the time and effort then i get rewarded by having another house ( dont forget 400 ed for another slot). If i find anything smaller then 2 x 18 x 18 i usually give to friend first, strangers 2nd. Any larger i sell. Cept castles. I have a thing for castles, dont know why but....i collect them. Most farm gold from bally's n such. I run looking for houses. Want something in game....3 words of advice......work for it. Hate seeing people say oh it would be better..... Just play and have fun let houses and items come as they may. Hope all have a blessed day. (No particular tone, voice inflection, facial expression, orbody language shown lol) just imo.
I keep a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin! just cause you aint paranoid doesnt mean they aint after you

I would love to see a "gm placed over terrain Joined house deed" for 400 or 600 or 800 or 1200 ed or whatever they set it at just so you could work toward it. You would already need to have a house placed adjacently to join the new (deed house) on to over mountain/trees/water.

I have a lovely spot where my house is and I would love to connect the second row of 18x18s to the first two but they would have to go part way into the side of the mountain. just my 2 cents. It wouldn't hurt anyone and would be an endgame gold sink donation motivation. I'm sure it would be a pain to code/administer as I'm sure the deeds would need to have a page request to use so maybe an auction item (though id love to see it on a stone if it ever happened)

I waited and moved several different times over the years. Took a while to get 40 plots joined together in 1 area. many of them aren't exactly square either. Lots of people wait or approach neighbors to see if they are willing to sell etc. Finding large plots doesn't happen overnight most of the time.

It took over 2 years to get control over the location that is currently my Library
- - In game name:: Simply Delicious - -
Find my HUGE Rune LIbrary
- Main Floor Housegates
- Bottom SE corner, look for the black and white housegate tile (looks like a QR code you can scan)

Worst than that is when you have already several houses joined and a new neighbour occupied that slot you've been waiting for and then you offer him a ton load of money and he doesn't want to sell it. then he gets nuked for abandoning game and another one takes the slot and still doesn't want the money T.T

It takes a lot of time and a lot of money to get that dream project :)

Oh i know the feeling of having neighbors that don't need money at all and have no interest in selling their simple stock house because either their bees are so old it would be a shame to reset them, it was the first house so it has sentimental value or it would be annoying to have to pack everything up... sigh... 25 mil wouldn't even be considered. lucky for me I'm younger so hopefully old age will get them in 45-60 years and I can finally have my addition! sigh...Excelsior will still be around then right?
