Sampling the black belt

Trying to get some info on sampling the black belt, in game help request hasn't been answered.

Has anyone sampled the "sample-able" black belt you get for completing the quest a second time? Either via relayer or appearance change. The only thing I want to know is, can it be dyed once you relayer/appearance change into it?

I just don't want to waste 500ed to be stuck with that sooty grey colour.

If you can sample it, then it would be able to be dyed. It would no longer be the black belt, but it would be the original item with the appearance/slot of the belt.
