Only... it has been eleven hours since my original post. And eighteen hours since they were due.
Plus, I don't recall having to log in since the last time I did the bees.

During my whole 600 days experience as a beekeeper it has never happened to me that a server restart would change the time when my bees update.

No, it doesn't. There's something else going on.

Bees have missed twice for me now. No production, no resource consumption. Not since the reboot.

There's something else going on. I tried using a weapon type change deed and it doesn't work. Nothing happens. Plus the hourly saves are acting weird.

Anyone hear from +C?

I have just fixed the issue. It was actually something to do with weapons, that's why the world failed to save, and since bees & plants do their cycle on every world save, they didn't do anything.

All the bees should now have their daily cycle at around 20:00 shard time. If you wish to set your bees to do their cycle at some other time, you can go to the Town Center and get your 25 compliemntary pine needles. Apply the needles around the time when you're usually not online.
For example, if you usually play at random times between 8am-10am shard time, and usually after coming from work let's say between 6pm and 11am, try to apply the needles sometime when you're still awake at 1am. Or at 6am. That way, the bees will do their daily cycle when you're usually not online (probably asleep) so you'll be able to take care of the bees "once per day" (in the sense of how your day usually is).

Just curious.. as in sincerely curious and only curious...
Why didn't you set up the stone like you did a few years back that gave everyone the options to choose a specific hour to reset the bees to? Was that flawed in some way in the coding?

Oh right I forgot that existed, I've just replaced the giftstone with the reset-hive-time stone.

As for the weapon change, yep that will require a server restart. (probably tomorrow)

I've just placed a fresh hive-cycletime-reset stone at the Town Center. After i've placed the initial stone there, we've had some more technical issues and so the hives went out of sync again, and you can use this stone again.

The stone will be available until January 2nd at 23:59 shard time.
