Been a long time

Post by Louis Blackbloof »

I played on this shard what seems like forever ago. I doubt I even have a character or all the stuff I grinded for or donated for. Has a lot changed since 2018? Is it worth coming back to solo?

The main thing that changed is that +Nyx and +Veritas are gone. On the plus side, they took all their drama with them so the shard has calmed down a lot. On the minus side, they were the ones running events, so there has been little in the way of fresh quests and events since they left. There have been occasionally player-run events including a recent 3d-maze event based on houses which was darn cool.

The shard still gets a couple hundred players online, some bank-sitting, some actively playing. This month is pretty busy with the Halloween quest going and there was a recent IDOC event so the new player donation chests are pretty full.

Depending on your age when you last quit your character(s) might still exist.

As an addict and solo player, I would say, yes, it's worth coming back to play solo.

That's actually super good to hear that playerbase is healthy. I've been wanting to come back but starting from scratch again wasn't as appealing.

It's been like 3 or 4 years since I even had UO installed. I doubt they would still be there. Might hop in just to mess around a bit and gage my interest in starting fresh. Thank you both for the replies!
