Its definitely good to be well rounded as a player and not 'have' to have pets but for anyone who does want some pets for that type of fighting then they have there place just like true melee has its place. I definitely have tried both ways. one shard i was all melee and no pets, when i first started here i decided to try the pet route. now i find myself just handling things without pets more times then with, but that just comes with time i guess, or just style. ive had alll kinds too, heh. but yeah there is definitely a time and place for pets and NOT for pets lol. :mrgreen:

This is so true Llexa. When I started I truly believed that hunting with pets was a must. Then i switched to Druid hunting with and without pets. Then I moved to now....where I have pets on me...Sometimes i use nobles sometimes mules sometimes Bio's. But mostly now i dont use any....

I think my days of doing without are becoming limited. My fingers dont work well anymore. I know how to spell, but cant seem to get my fingers to type correctly unless i can really take my time. I just figured it up.. 24 years as a mechanic full time, and another 7 part time. Yesterday the bolt holding a Big Block racing motor I was putting into a drag truck broke, it only dropped about two inches, but landed on my right hand while trying to line up the newly installed mounts. it broke my index finger.... again. Arthritis, and just plain busted up and crooked fingers that dont work well make it difficult for me when i need to hurry. I can assist others on a champ with druid spells... but when the boss pops, trying to get his health bar, shutting off macro, getting pets out to kill him, hitting the all kill buttons... are too much, i cant do it if it needs to be done fast. The boss is usually dead by the time I manage it, and i get no scrolls.
a pet in all guard mode is the only thing that will save me if things go south and I suddenly find myself in need of Hurrying. My days of playing Half Life, Unreal tournament etc are pretty much over. I used to relish those games, and I still try when i play with my Son, but he tends to yank my chain a lot, popping out so I can see him then running because he knows im not fast anymore... i guess its payback for all the times I ahnialated him when he was younger.
Anyhow, I still love to play, but conditions more or less dictate that i have backup when in a very tight spot. A LOT of health, and pets make it possible to keep playing.

Edit;
I just realized... believe it or not, that the higher your breeding gets, the more it costs to retrieve the babys... I havent been looking till just now.. and it cost me 12144 each for the babys i just delivered :( delivering 50 babys a week, that are more or less junk/throw aways.. thats well over half a mil a week "cries"
