Well alot of people dont have alot of money to spend, and haveing to pay more to get the rewards doesnt really seem fair. Ive been wanting to donate myself but havent had the money for it, untill recently....but it really makes me weary of paying extra money for "virtual Items"

To me a donation isn't about the items you can grab from the ED's you receive. It's about helping someone with the FREE service they provide with THEIR server/computer to all of us because they felt OSI had ridiculous prices. It costs much to run a server even if there's only 200-300 people playing on it. Go to any other free shard out there and you might notice the "donation" rewards are much more expensive or with no reward at all but a "Thank you" from the Admin.

I will continue to donate for this reason and hope you would all do the same. It's a donation not a barter for goods.

Im sorry to say i totaly disagree with you, take out the donation rewards and almost everyone will stop donating, i donate to get better stuff i wouldn't be able to have otherwise, if it helps the shard at the same time, great. Seing its all virtual where is the harm in expecting something in return. I dont realy know how much +C receives in a year in donations but im more than sure it covers the services he provides or the shard wouldn't still be up and running.

Dont get me wrong, i am very greatful to be able to play on such a wonderful shard, even more because its free! But so far in the few months i have been playing here, i have given more in donations that it would have actualy cost me to play on osi shard, so why shouldn't i expect something in return. I realy dont like to be given a moral lesson on why i should give, i give to get better stuff and i dont think no one should be ashamed of doing so. Why you give is personnal and shouldn't be debated over!

So next time you donate, are you willing to tell +C to keep the reward, since you only donate to help out the shard?
Imo its a crap load to say you only donate to help out the admins of the shard!

Donations are just a legal way of evading income taxes, its just good business, so basicaly its an exchange of services and goods, i provide the means for you to keep doing what you do, and you give me stuff in return. Dont go and think the admins of this world are saints and are doing this for our only benefit, something has to be in it for them! Or else they wouldn't keep doing it.

No hard feelings i hope, its just my opinion.

i do have to agree with you there on the other information, but.... i've donated and given all the eds away for free. either for events (fishing 550+ eds) xmas gifts (1.1k eds +). but i totally agree with you on the fact that IT IS nice getting things for helping others keep the shard free. personally, i hope that in my monthly donations +C keeps some of that to do other things. Like buy new cloths, or go out on the town, because he should get something more than just the pleasure of running a shard.

Let's be honest prob 99% donate to get the ed's, I don't think it's fair to penalize anyone based on their currency's deflation or inflation. So I think whatever they donate should be the ed's they get, so if I donate $10 I should get whatever ed's that would yield, same for 10 pounds, or 1000 yen.

I tell you this I would easily foresee people that have a lower value currency stop donating or just donate a whole lot less.

I personally donate because I like to, and I also do enjoy the gifts. I mean if you ever got some free time see how much it cost to run a personal server with a 100mbit line, $200+ around the California area (and that's with a junky server).

THANK YOU!! for your honesty...everyone and their ...oh i donate because i want to... not for the ed'z....yea right that may be true for some but not everyone :P I pay to play another game but its a subscription fee of 15 bucks a month, compare that to the 50-70 dollars i would like to donate....hmmm you do the math :P (not trying to promote anything just using an example)

And I know its a donation and i should be happy with what i get but really it should be fair to everyone. And its been done this way for so long why change it now whats the reason behind it....just curious, becuase it says to make the donation process quicker... I really don't think anyone minds that they have to wait a little longer to get more for their buck.
