Sounds like a fun time to be had. Cool. I'd like to see afew pictures too , if you decide to post them.
My computer has crapped out on me, so I'm not sure when I "could" get into the shard, even if it was up and running Grrrr! On a plus note work's going well for Fuzz haha. See you all sometime soon I hope.

I'm glad to announce that the server is back online.

No idea why, probably because it has only 1GB of ram, anyway I've taken away some of it's load and we'll see how it runs for a month. If it is all well, then i supose i'll leave it this way. If it causes more problems, then it's up for a formatting or a ram upgrade.

I hope alot of you will start playing again. It's a long downtime, but well, it's back up again.

See you all soon.

I just happened to try to log in for kicks just before I checked here, and what a great surprise to find I got in! Been missing this shard while it was away, passing time with other games in the meantime, but it'll be great to get back in!

I know there's at least a few people who've been watching and waiting patiently for Excelsior to return, and I'm sure as word gets out that we're online, everyone'll be right back with us.

Welcome back, Coli, see you and everyone else somewhere near the Britain Bank sometime.

well it crashed again, this time due to some bug - it's now running in debug mode, so when it crashes again, i'll know exactly where the bug is, and will be able to repair it.

Thanks everyone for the welcome home :) I've really relaxed over the month, ready for new adventures, altho id most rather stay there and just relax some more.

Well, running in debug mode revealed which line exactly causes the shard to crash, so i added two types of protection to that piece, which theoretically should fix it. I've set the server back on, and let's hope it will work. This is a problem that came out of the blue - it wasnt due to a scriping error or a new script or some development... it just happened somehow.

I think that the bug issue with housesigns was resolved, we have 3 days uptime now. The server (windows) also seems to be running fine and without the need for another 1GB memory stick.

It's running alright but occasionally there are some serious latency issues, I know it isn't my connection. Chances are it's between myself and the server and my friend and the server but I'm assuming it's network latency rather than the machine itself. No idea if it's your isp or just something in the ocean crossing to get to you in the first place.
