I don't think you read my first reply. My post is -only- in response to a statement made about changing a character's name to become unbanned. So, with all layman's terms aside - You can't do it. We know this for a fact.

Changing the name is only a very small part of the situation. It has been addressed already and there was no need to bring it up again. Deleting the character and freeing the account has also been addressed and is still a problem. If we're going to focus on something let's focus on something relevant. I also love how we now usually have a changelog, but as I mentioned earlier this wasn't listed on the changelog. Listing stuff like this, that definitely can have an effect on game mechanics, would probably lessen the knee jerk reaction that happens when it's discovered and then it leaves our imaginations to run rampant with only half answers that we receive concerning the situation after having to go to the forums to get attention pointed at it.
