How's about... the champ takes the combined damage of everything you killed (you dealt let's say 50 damage to each of those thousand mongbats and imps), plus you did 1k damage to the champion... it takes each participant's sum, and compares it to the others. Then somehow these sums compared result in your chance of getting a powerscroll, or chance for the skull to end up in your pack, and the gold too.

I personally like this idea, i think that a lot of points others made are a little off base because this would encourage others to help out and do something.

Another thought to support more gamers. You could consider adding more facets to add more hunting zones.

Please remember that this is a Family shard and that the Codex applies to the forums just the same. If you do not know the Codex then i suggest you read it. Thank you +Chaos

Most of the plans are very good. But i really want to see the plans on pet issue. If there are 30 pets (most are imp pets) attack Neria, it will down in 5 seconds and players without pets have very little change to get a scroll even they hit the boss.

Hide and stealth should not be a big problem, players can stand there without hiding.

Yeah but now they will not be getting the aid of trees, unless of course you allow them membership to your party. Then that is on you.

I am with you about the pet issue but to be honest have kind of given up on it, it has been brought up quite a few times and just seems to be danced around/ignored/avoided.

Not to sure if staff play the game anymore and understand the frustration of trying to target a champ with 20+ pets swallowing it. It is like being shot, I could tell you what it is like but until you experience it you can't comprehend it. I am not equating being shot and pets, I am talking about the difference between actual experience and watching.

And if you think control-shift is the solution, try it....

I used the Razor hot-key "Target closed non-friendly" to find champs. It works in most of the times. But when someone with angelic form close to me, it will target to him. I also use control+shift to find the champs sometimes. But it's not that easy when there are lots of pets and the champ summon some spawns.

I'll consider a "one pet per person" restriction. Or maybe two... And maybe that a champ gains even more HP, depending on how many people are at it.

I think a good idea would be increasing the physical resist of some champs (possibly decreasing another resist besides fire/poison if physical is the lowest). This would allow people who use consecrate weapon to do good damage while lowering overall pet damage. MoAs never seemed to have the problem of being zerged down by pets because they had really high physical resist, whereas champs like neira and barracoon have really low physical resist. You may also consider raising their wrestling skills so they are not as often.

The razor method words as you said, unless you have angelic people around (which it is a champ and odds are high you do), also will target anything closer. You end up being one of the people making target harder for others because you are just as bad as a pet gang rushing the champ. There is no one solution that works for all champs equally since some are red, some are grey. Best I have come up with is a auto target based on name.

Unless I get specifically asked to show up at a champ now, I don't. Just way to much of a hassle involved or people standing around not even putting in an effort. So why bother?

Would it be possible to drastically increase the size of the champs name-tag?
Not that this in any way solves the issue of it being swarmed by pets, but at least shft+ctrl would actually help the targeting issue if people are having one.

I might not understand everything being stated here. (And I apologize for not being more educated on the matter.) But I see several problems with the change. I am an old school UO player when pets were not so easily used and owned. I was a meat shield for the guild at the time. (That is my background)

In my opinion if you give a pet restriction, you favor druids. (And I mean favor them ALOT.) Their ability to put up trees and mass spam damage affects almost endlessly will automatically put them at the top of the Damage meters every time. For those of us that were forced to get pets to even have a small chance against Druids damage chart. This destroys our chances of getting money or PS at our damage levels.

If I understand this correctly, you only get so much on the mini mobs. So there is a total limit or a limit per kill? If it is a total limit, then I understand. But that bring in a whole new issue. I only need to kill 15 and now I can stand around and do nothing, while I wait to attack the boss. If it is only a small amount per kill, then unless I can continuously do mass damage, I will never be on the damage meter like the druids.

Now I am not against druids, they appear to be the top of the game right now and what everyone or most should be going for. I am just wondering if you just tipped the scales one way too far. There are a lot of people who want a lot of changes and finding a balance is always difficult. I have several hundred complaints, but for the most part I stay off the forums with them. I am just hoping this future change is not going to destroy the game play for many.

Additionally, you are restricting what we can have ... So I cant have a mount if I am only allowed to have one pet? Or if I have a non-charge slot pet to mount, I can have two? Is the only way to play to have a BIO or IMP? What about the newbie spawn? Did you just kill all the newbies where those of us with pets made the newbie spawn possible? I have lots of questions that are not being answered now. Could we please give/provide a full run down of this 'change' and what all is affected?

I am willing to wait and see.

So based on the new rules that I just read, you are making it SO EASY for druids. Unless I am a friend of a druid, IE partied ... they have all the power in the world. That group will be able to run the spawn and everyone else is cut out. You just made Druids GODS. So let me get this straight.

"I am a druid. My trees heal no one but me and my friends, if I choose to have friends. Thus I am immortal and get endless spamming ability and WOW it only helps me."

Also ... based on the NEW pets rules: I will forever pet dump my aggro on another pet owner. If there pet dies, I win! Also if I only have one pet in there and I have to heal my pet vice fight. I am at the bottom of the damage meter. Really ... this is a far trade off. I dont think so. So this is a kill your neighbors pet fight. Wow, too bad we can't kill the druids while we are at it too.
