Zero tolerance is.. please pardon me here.. BS.. its a way to weed out people the people in charge don't like, Afk macros are not against the rules, which are listed in the codex as this:

4. Programs, macroing, exploiting:
a. Any kind of client or program is allowed to connect to this server, as long as it does not harm the integrity or performance of the server in any way.
b. Macroing allowed, even while you are away from keyboard, except for activities listed in rule 4.c. below.
c. When performing the following activities, you must not be away from keyboard: killing spawn (regular or champions), leveling weapons, fishing, gathering ore/wood/leather/wool/plants. This may not be a final list - the idea is that you should not perform anything that brings a good amount of wealth while AFK.
d. Exploiting the game in any way is prohibited and will be punished by a long term or permanent ban.

Enforcing a rule like this would cause MORE not less problems for the GMs who already leave problems in que for hours at a time.. The solution I'd suggest is enforce the rules already in place and get more active staff, the shard is over a hundred players on a week night, there needs to be about 5 staffers on, 1 per 20 or so people. But issuing a poll that's not really a poll but a set of questions deliberately designed to lead to a set conclusion, rather than a true measure of what the population thinks is an ultimately rather insulting and leads to you getting posts where people are rather polity calling ya an out of touch person of limited intellect. May I humbly suggest a: yes this is a good idea and b: no this isn't a good idea rather than coloring the options with your own bias, you'll get a better actual idea of what people think.. assuming that's actually what your interested in.

Sadly i wasnt 'trying to be funny', i pointed out faulty debate methods (slanted poll, strawman argument, etc) and made it perfectly clear my argument was with the argument and not the person.

Just because a persons opinion is stupid, doesnt mean the person is.

As for my outward signs of exasperation, thats a matter of taste on the side of people who are laughing.

all i can really say is wow, lots of childness in this thread; people who really dont read, or when they do, they only see what they wanna see. zero tolerance is a great structure, and again, majority here is not interested in actually reading, but instead pick out one sentence and drag it out for days, or one concept that you've decided in your head means something that it doesnt.

yes, we have some bad apples for sure, and we will always initially have them. the ENTIRE point of this thread was offering up zero tolerance as means to make life better for the decent players and the staff. less hours and hours they spend debating on the gray areas, less time the troublemakers have a soap box and less time players are actually effected by troublesome players. its win win situation. they need to know they can make quick and easy non biased consequences for people without having trouble makers waste their time with semantics keeping them out in the playing world longer to effect players who follow the rules. it's really that simple.

I said she was a fascist as much as we, who oppose the bill, are deliquents trying to protect our get outta jail free cards. It was an example to illustrate that she couldn't just divide the thread in people for the bill and people against Excelsior - which are two completely different things, and that seemed obvius for most people, but she still won't get it.

She then strongly denied being a fascist, from what she was not really accused - which confirmed one of two things: she didn't read anything at all; or she does believe that we're all criminal minds playing just for the opportunities to exploit or break the rules. Anyways, after that, I kinda made it into a joke.

But main point is: I've always stated that she's as much a fascist as you and I are deliquents who don't support the bill to keep our get outta jail free cards. And she understands that as me seriously calling her a fascist. What does that say about her opinion on the bill's opposers?

Read carefully my man... I did state that calling someone a fascist for not agreeing with me is as ridiculous as calling me a deliquent for not supporting the zero tolerance bill. I just didnt use the full words.
But hey, after not understanding the comparison, and reinforcing the idea that I do am a criminal master mind playing politics for my own good - me and everyone else who doesnt support the bill, well, I decided the ridiculous should be met with the ridiculous.
But let's not alter what was said: Llexa's as much a fascist as I am planning my getting away free after a lot of rule breaking. It's just a shame that she considers this paralel as me really calling her a fascist - and, it must be, my confession about my true intentions.
So yeah, all that's left to be said is "HAIL!"
