I see there are a lot of rumors flying (again) that I'm quitting (or lazy) since I've been away and haven't opened the St. patty's quest. Y'all could just ask, you know- I reply to my staff emails pretty regularly.

The fact of the matter is that a couple weeks ago, the symptoms that I'd been afflicted with since Christmas became worse. My doctor then became concerned about a pulmonary embolism and rushed me in for a CT scan. While the CT showed that I didn't have an embolism, it did show that I had a congenital heart defect that nobody had any idea I had until then. I've been in and out of specialists offices for consultations and tests, as well as the hospital since then. I'm starting to feel a little better but we still aren't sure yet what's going on or what the status of the heart condition is, or how many of my symptoms are the heart condition and how many are something else entirely.

Needless to say, I haven't been at my desk to fiddle with the shard. I've worked a bit on the new patch here and there, and taken plenty of notes for quest ideas and such. If I'm feeling up to it, then I'll try to work on the St. Patty's quest this weekend; but at this point I'm just taking each day as it arrives since I never know how I'll be feeling.

Suffice to say that no, I am not quitting, nor am I disinterested in staffing the shard. I just have serious, pressing health matters to handle before things can get back to normal.

Well I just have to say that i hope that you're going to get better and also that the heart problem isn't a problem that cannot be solved. I have health problems daily and used to have a lot of appointment with specialist. Just saying it is not a fun thing at all. Upcoming quest or not... a game is a game... your health is top priority. Take your time.

I hope you get well soon, but do take your time; heart diseases of any kind should not be taken lightly. It is after all the place where we keep our love and the thing that keeps us alive.

As much as I love your quests +N, your health is much more important. Take as long as you need, we will still be here when you are able to come back. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. *hugs*

Just remember, in the end this is just a game! Real life trumps video games!

That reminds me, you really need to talk to +R and see if he will make some GM foods, he keeps tempting us with Bacon... lol

Eeeek take it easy and use this time to reflect on what's important...pudding...I mean your health...and pudding.
The shard will still be here and I will as well paging every 2 hours for help placing a house so take your time and get some rest. You can do et!

I am so glad to know that you did not have an embolism. I am even more glad that this revealed a problem
that you were not aware of in time to get it taken care of. That makes me believe that when this is over,
you will be healthier than before this happened. Rest and heal and see yourself getting better.
Of course we miss you but +R and +C are taking care of us So you take care of you.
