That's pretty interesting, thanks for keeping track and posting this. If you don't mind, what is your luck at? That's about what I expected from weapon drops for that many kills with my luck at looted weapons. Lol.

Oh? I was under the impression luck affected looted weapon drops. Now I'm starting to wonder if luck does anything at this point, Lol.

For sure luck help with bio sampling, but I don't know what else (if anything)

what was the 4X58? a dispel?

And how was it determined luck doesn't bump loot intensity drops on weapons or jewelry?

In my experience Luck definitely helps. I have a whopping 365 luck with certain gear equipped and get diddly squat from Mel. I do consistently get the elven quiver recipie tho. A friend who runs it regularly has gotten 11 imps, 20 ish 3x and 4x weapons, +7, 8, and 10 jewelry etc. This is in the span of about 3 months and about 100 to 150 runs. My friend has North of 3k Luck. I have done Mel about 20 ish times and my drops are consistently lousy. I also see others with high luck get good drops as well. Some of these folks can kill Mel in 2 minutes where it takes me about 12.. perhaps it is a time thing if luck is not a factor.

Luck affects all loot tables, it's minor effect but it's there. It's about correct numbers + amount

Its so minuscule that it won't affect anything, and would probably be maxed at 1200 (the runuo code normal) unless changed, and having 4k luck and getting the same if not less on most days with that over when i had 2k. I Will stand by saying Luck will not affect your chances, and from what i remember in the code i think it would only like give you a 3rd or 4th possible property, it wouldn't give you more 46's or 58's, but rather sometimes give you a 3rd or 4th or 5th property on it.

There are many post on the forums stating that luck only affects bios and paragon drops. In my experience it does not help with Lady Mel (400+ runs) and 6000 Luck.

I usually get lousy runs with Mel, but I have also have gotten many imps, very decent weapons (ex:4 x 46, 3 x 58) jewelry and even a 5 x 30 weapon off of a Satyr, all with 350 to 500 luck. Same with Dreadhorn and its spiders. I know luck affect drops to a point (try looting mobs with 0 luck. You get squat) I am more in line with Stephen's comment that anything past 1200 would be a waste unless you are into bio-engineering. Quantity of kills is the key here.

It's encouraging to hear that you've had decent weapons drop with under 500 luck, as I think I have about 300 or so and I've yet to have a decent weapon drop that I can level. Having said that, I haven't spent a significant amount of time killing any of the peerless bosses, with the exception of travesty; I've done 30-35 travesty runs and gotten 2 imps but 0 decent bits of jewelry or weapons. I guess I need to keep going!

I can definitely agree now with the luck situation, I seem to have the same amount of "real" luck with drops as I did with lower luck. It doesn't seem to make that huge of a difference after a point. But to be more on the thread topic, I'd like to see someone do this with other monsters or peerless bosses to get a better understanding of their drops. Though it might just be better to record it for yourself so no one knows your farming secrets.

I am not sure what secrets anyone would have other than kill, kill, then kill some more. Oops, let that one slip.

As far as the original thread is concerned, I just may do 100 Dreadhorn runs, though I must say I have had more luck on drops from the key givers (Gnaw, Lady Sabrix, etc.) than Dreadhorn itself, though that could be because I have killed far more of them than their Boss.

By the way, I don't think I have ever gotten anything from Slaarion, Chief Paroxy or Netopir, though I must admit, I do not do the first 2 very much.
