Paragon Dungeon Idea for the Fearless!

This post ties in with the End Game thread. +R asked for ideas and I came up with 3. All which should challenge the mightiest of us, with 2 of them designed for everyone.

1. Paragon Dungeon
Take a stock unused dungeon and spawn it with Paragons, but not just any paragons.
Mobs: Sphinx, Minotaur's, Palace Guardian, Eidolon, Dark Father, Balron, Ancient Wyrm, Skeletal Dragon, Ancient Wyrm, Polar Wyrm and Abomination.
Loot: Loot tables similar to Lady Mel (with gold) and/or add level 7 and 8 T-maps and/or Powerscroll.
Access: Have the access to be a randomly spawning portal in Felucca. Similar to how the Abomination and Noble spawns move about.

2. Maze in Green Acres
This was a widely successful event I held back in my Admin days in another UO life. I created a very large maze with corridors 2-tiles wide. At the end of the maze was a very sought after and unique weapon. The maze was filled with hidden teleport pads that would send you anywhere inside the maze. Sometimes forward, sometimes back, and sometimes all the way back out. It also had hidden doors and a surprise at the end. I opened it up about once a week for over a year. Nobody ever made it to the weapon, though a few came close.

3. Challenge Race
Another successful event of mine. Concept was simple. A small group of participants at a time had to navigate the course. First one to the finish line won. However, along the way, were hidden teleport pads, invisible walls, damaging lava, perhaps a detour into a room of dragons, etc. The runners ran without armor, jewelry or weapons. If you died along the way, well your chances for winning were greatly reduced. Each heat winner would take on the others until only one winner was left. All participant were rewarded though.

OmG idea #1 sounds freakin awesome! I would spent ALL of my time randomly running around Fel hunting randomly spawned portals! BUMP!

#1 sounds awesome. Start with lower tier mobs near the front then as you go farther in or down, they get progressively more difficult. Gate moves every 30 to 60 minutes? Maybe once a day so once it is found anyone interested could jump in. Also make it spawn like Fel Deceit. Going to need nerves of steel to head in. Buyer beware. :lool:

I was reading this thread the other day but I didn't get to replying to it. I love your paragon dungeon idea. It would give more incentive to go to areas you haven't been in Felucca and to travel around Felucca. It goes perfectly with the fact that you can't recall into Felucca. One thing I'm not sure about is the idea of it having paragons. Would they drop artifacts like paragons in Ilshenar? It seems like the perfect way to add more difficulty to the game without creating new monsters. Though I'm not sure if it would be more fit for Felucca or the new facets that are in testing/development.

It wouldn't be necessary. Outside of the BOD and one or two others, nothing much to collect anyways. Lady Sabrix and her friends as well as the Sphinx do not drop arti's currently. So the mobs I listed could drop their own loot, but there should be some incentive to go in there. As I mentioned earlier, I definitely would love to see them have a chance at dropping those Level 7/8 T-maps. Also, depending on mob, chance of dropping 1, maybe 2, ED's.

A few more possible denizens of said dungeon that would fit nice in there: The Flesh Eating Dragon/Wyrms from Dungeon Wrong in Felucca; Platinum Ore Elemental; Onyx Dragon; those pesky archers from Umbris Camp.



Also +R, another idea would be to spice up the Elf Encampment north of Yew Crypts. To me, that place has a lot of potential. Increase the danger (already something in the cabin that will one-shot you) and add a rare respawning item in there or on one of the defenders. Just firing ideas out there,
