beginner questions

Post by nocturne7saint »

I now have all 70 resists except for physical at 69. all combat skills at 100, chiv, spirit speak, focus, med, and anatomy at 100. almost have magery at 100.

i can very slowly kill dragons in destard, I'm trying to find something around the difficulty of dragons that won't overwhelm me, but kills a bit faster and has good loot. been doing some of the newbie quests slowly. Not sure what to hunt to bring my gold amounts up, or what to hunt to get some better drops for weapons and possibly armor.

Animal taming. Let the pets fight for you. Getting to 220 dex without going through animal taming first (or donating for a bunch of EDs) will be a very long slog indeed.

Understand: 200k gold of maxed pets, *any* maxed pets, and you can sweep through Destard at will.

Starting off, anything cheap with high stats from player vendors will work for you. Some maxed pets will have 1000 str, 250 dex, 1000 hp and 500 stamina. "pack instinct" pets will have 250 str, 125 dex, 1000 hp and 500 stamina. Troll the new player chests and see what you can find. Practice with them until you get good at keeping them healed, then start looking on the player vendors.

Eventually I suggest 1 mule and 4 noble steeds. Those are expensive, but mules have backpacks (like your starter llama) and are immune to poison while a pack of noble steeds gets a nice damage bonus (that's what pack instinct is).

Imprisoned pets (whose crystals are loot drops from "peerless" monsters) come later.
