Just got a new computer and I cannot get .NET framework 3.5 to download and install. I am using windows 10. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Overall, if i remember correctly, if you try to install the .Net 3.5 it will just automatically try to install the newer version, although 4.0 is not exactly an upgrade of 3.5 but sort of a different branch. And windows 10 doesn't come preinstalled with older versions.

Try this: "dotnet 3.5 offline installer" https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=25150
(this will download the actual 3.5 installer, instead of a "smart" installer that just tells you that you already have the newest version).

it gets stalled at searching for required files in the windows features tab, that link you posted does the same thing...

I had the same issue. there was 4 different ones to download, i ended up downloading all 4 as just the 3.5 alone didnt work for me
