Hey +C, Just wondering if a winter/xmas auction was planned for December?

It is a month that we have historically had auctions in.

Historically we had December auctions on:
2020 - Dec 22
2019 - Dec 7
2018 - 2015 - No auctions
2014 - Dec 6
2013 - Dec 1
2012 - Dec 1
2011 - No auction
2010 - Dec 12

That's the last decade. I ask for a couple of reasons, firstly to get the idea of an auction ticking over in your mind in the hopes we will have one soon, it has been a while since the last.

More importantly, December becomes a busy time of the year for everyone. Having some notice early helps players organise their annoying real lives around the important UOEX life... I'm fine and will survive if there isn't one in Dec, it will just help organise my plans if you can flat out let us know "Definitely no auction in December" or, even better, "Grand Auction Dec 11!" Either one is fine, but notice is cool

Hey +C I just saw in Excelsior daily there is a plan for one of these. You put the day and time in there... But a rough idea of the date would be far, far more useful for people planning things IRL than the time. Is it this Saturday coming? The one after Christmas day?

Edit: I just read portal, this is planned for this Saturday... *sigh* first grand auction in nearly a year and we get 4 days notice.. obviously I am out and unavailable hence this whinge.... I started this thread as I knew I (as I am sure many others are) was planning things and would have moved things around this if I knew one was planned for this Saturday. :


Or better yet delay a week or 2 giving people time to plan...

At the very least could we see the items more than 24 hours in advance so I can give gold to a friend in game if there is something I would like to bid on? Preferably like 48 hours, but 24 should do... please.

Well, by the rules, auctions should be announced preferably on monday, but tuesday is OK too. I guess grand auctions could be announced earlier. Like i said, i was sick and didnt know when i'll be better so i didnt want to announce an imaginary auction that might not even take place. Dunno what's better, broken promises or short notice.

I understand +C. The dank meme does make up for the short notice I suppose. if possible could we please see the items a few days in advance? That will lessen the blow and allow me to hand some gold to a friend so I can still have a shot at stuff I want....
