Using a custom styler for the homepage

Mostly out of boredom, I used a custom CSS styler to edit the homepage to look a little more appealing (to me at least), and less cluttered:

Using this method, I'm limited in what I can change. I certainly consider this "scratching the surface".
The main changes are increasing font sizes to be more readable on modern screens, and having separation for elements on the page, so that when a new user lands on the page, it's easier on the eyes to absorb what they are looking at, and increasing the widths for the Forum and Portal lists, as well as removing some dead or redundant links.
I would be happy to do "real" updates to the site, for free :p
