Why do people insist on building their houses darn near on top of mine? I found a nice place, middle of nowhere, with plenty of open space around me. I've been living there peacefully for months. Today I log in and find someone I don't know has built their house next to mine. There's plenty of room so that he could have built at least a screen away.

I understand that on OSI house space was hard to find so you built where you found a spot but that's not true here. Why do so many people build so close to each other when they're not friends?

Well, I'll just have to go find a new spot to move to.

does it hurt to make a new friend? if you moved into a new house, saw your new neighbors, do you say "ugh!" and move to another house?, or do u greet them n all... food for thought

I did just move into a new house and you know what, I'm not friends with my neighbors. Friendly, as in wave, smile and say hello, yes. Friends, no. I'm a loner and I like it that way.

I don't mind neighbors in game, if they're a screen away. I don't like looking at someone else's house every time I'm in my house.

Not to mention, I occasionally play with wood elementals in the nearby woods and that's not nice to do if there's a chance they'll kill the neighbors if they get away from me.

Well you can message the owner and kindly ask them to move. Hopefully they will understand.

I could but I probably won't. It's my problem so I'll just move.

I was more curious as to why people here tend to build near each other when there's plenty of room.

I guess he liked the spot but doesn't mind having neighbours nearby

wellll vix, im with yuh, hah. I like having "privacy" heh. Licos built near me, and he's in my guild and asked me first if i minded. and i know him, so it's ok, but yeah, i don't like people building around me, that's why i like the yard idea, b/c it gives you atleast 10 spaces on all sides where no one can park just keeps it from feeling like a townhouse, haha not b/c i don't like people, i go to town to see them all just don't like them right outside my window, hehe.

so, you're not alone, but yeah, not sure what to tell you :/ i would probably do the same thing and just move but eh, still annoying when you were there already GL!

Well, when i first arrived, I placed a castle (8 months ago) and Undertaker placed a castle right behind me. We became friends. We even asked if it was possible to put a bridge between out two castles. Then I had rl things that made me go away from the game for 6 months. Obviously, Undertaker didn't want to stay there alone, so he demolished his castle and build elswere. When I came back, like two months ago, i found out that +Rayne has placed behind my house. Cool thing, I was all good with having him as a neigbor. But two months later, his house is still an empty plot. So no cool neighbors, and yet the impossibility to place a castle where Undertakers one was. Not that it really bothers me, but i was wondering if there was a reason for that.

Hmm and i have no idea why that house is there probably because of a higher purpose.

he wanted the biggest possible plot, and you happen to live in a swath of such space ? (no doubt you picked your land on plotsize and clean floor ?)

Anyway, as I said, it doesnt really bother me. Especially that I checked and it is possible to squeeze a castle beside mine. Was just curious.

Actually, I picked the spot cuz I'd lived in the area on previous shards and know the area well. But yes, it's good flat land and plenty of space and that space extends a good distance around where my house was. Plenty of space to build a screen or more away.

No matter now, I've moved.
