Monster Statuettes

So what are Monster Statuettes? Are they a drop or do you craft them? How do you get more? I got a collection during the IDOC and it peaked my interest. Are these something I can make?

the ones tagged "statuette" are old vet rewards they havnt been available for years but arnt very rare. the reason the statuettes were discontinued is that there had been plans to make them craftable as part of the carpentry crafting menu but it never happened dunno if that is still a plan.
there are other monsters without the tag that are from quests and events and some of those can be extremely rare.
