Weapon Leveling question

What happens if I switch weapons while leveling one up. For example, I use one weapon to beat a monster down and then switch to a leviable weapon for the kill shot. Will the last weapon used get the experience or will it be divided up between the two weapons? Just trying to figure out a way to level up my second weapon that is going to be a relayer. It's not that strong for combat since I am going for stat boosts and such.

Used this practice sometimes too, final blow gives exp.As the weapon which is used for beating down is lvl 100 than i don't tested is it getting part of exp, but i believe that no. Anyway it shouldn't be hard to test, also remember mobs have amplitude of exp, from, to. so you will not get same amount each time.
