The Tournament of Champions

Post by Kile Morgan »

As I had already taken part in the taming event and I've not done any pvp on UO I decided to merely watch this event.

After the event ended we were informed that Rayne did the heavy lifting to get this up and going. So a thank you goes out to her.

Mostly it seemed to go off ok, as far as actual players and behavior went. Was interesting to watch some of the unintended deaths such as Colibri. One suggestion would be if you have players removing weapons and armor to even things out then also next time also include rings and such.

Well i missed that because I got confused with time zones. I thought it was at 9pm my time. Congrats to Bolo with who i trained in pvp dungeon with yesterday:-) I am not sure that the fact of keeping jewels changed anything as I was told Jill Muffit was weilding his artifact 70 layer changed bracelet and did not finish on top anyway. It was a really cool idea to ge trid of usual player armor;-) It is possible to have hit points and regeneration that would make some players impossible to kill. I have one suggestion though for next tournament. It would be nice to banish the healing clerical spell as it heals 100+ damage thru poison and mortal. It would open the way to more strategies imo. Anyway, seemed like a very nice event. Sorry to have missed it and looking forward to next one!

My only point on the other items was a comment from the Admin on why they were having people remove all their armor and weapons. Seemed they wanted to level it out. I mean my stuff isn't great but it gives better bonus then my armor has so I could understand it.

the cleric spells were banished. and its not a crime for someone to lend someone something, there was no rules against that. but it was a lotta fun =] (even tho i came in second (im not bitter lol))

I didn't say anything negative against you, well, if you feel I did, I didn't intend to, I was trying to demonstrate that leaving people with their jewels didn't give any overpowered advantage.

I am fully growned ;-) You can see my pic in the person behind character thread!

Hi gang.

Yeah i really enjoyed the event to. Rayne arena was ace! i think was really good that there was a selection of armour to pick from i think defo helped with the balance. I agree with fingers if there was a selction of jewlery that would be ace to and help some of the younger players out there. (i have a set of very good jewellery which worked in my favor)

Just as an idea for furture touryments be worth having a sicky thread thats has a list of dos and don't so everyone know where they are at.

Also be nice for furture winners to have maybe a statue in brit or tc with there name on? just an idea

Well done to everyone and looking forward to meeting you in the area again june! and great choice on item! think about throwing a bless on cloak so i don't loser it and nor will furture winners.

Thanks you very much to the admins that put in all the hard work! i think alot of people enjoyed it
