HEy, I'm new here..

So.. you're looking at the topic and think "Argh, just read the connection page"..

Well.. I've done that..

Every thing is as it should be..

BUT! I'm living at a school, who has closed a LOT of ports, and i'm pretty sure port 60 is one of them..

So. this is where i stand:
Got UO patched within the range the site says.
Got razor installed. it can open the client, no problems there either.
the loginfile are changed..
The school has a proxy. But i just bypass it.

Now, to there port. (Not sure if it is closed, but I'm pretty sure they are).
I've been told, that if i can establish a tunnel connection to another server, i should get rid of the port problem.
A Friend of mine got a server that I'm allowed to use as tunnel.

But i don't know how to esablish this connection.
PuTTY shoulf be able to do it, but i can't get it work. so my question.

Do anyone knows a way, that i might be able to use ports like 6112 (Used for Warcraft III, and works) or 3389 (Used for the SSH connection, and bypassing the proxy, also works)??

Hmm, a more advanced problem for a change, ok :)

Ok so you are unsure how to connect to that tunnel? I think the first thing that we should know is what kind of tunnel it is. If it's VPN you can do it simply with the connection wizard in Windows, if not then there's some more googling to be made.

O right and if it's a socks proxy server, i believe you can set that in your Start -> control panel -> internet options

As far as i know, it is not a http..

I got a friend, who has a proxy, that i can set it to instead of the schools.
It is also his server, i'm going to connect the tunnel to.
I tried to make my own computer to a SSH client, and then connect to myself, to allow the port 60 to be open. it worked.
But when i try to connect at port 60 again (When i'm allowed to it) it seems like i'm not getting any input. can't write password of anything. And still can't connect.

Can't logon with neither the client.exe or with Razor.

Dunno if it is an VPN..
I'm using putty for the connection, and the tunnel option, is in the SSH tab... :P

I don't know if this is any help, but (With razor) if i try to change the port, i still can't login, but the clients work fine.
If i use port 60 in razor too, the window goes (Not responding) until it gets the "Could not connect . . ." message?
