Radiant scimitar special move?

Well it all started when I got to choose the arcanist protection (artifact rarity 70). I had to get rid of my faithful two handed titan hammer that served me so well for very long (blessed, spell chan, lvl 79). Then I went to the donation page on the website, and found out that for 200 ED, there was a reward named "weapon type change". Woot, the solution was to change that godly hammer to a one handed weapon. Deception: the one special move that i really loved on my hammer was whirlwind attack and according to stratics website ( http://uo.stratics.com/content/arms-arm ... hart.shtml ), only two handed weapons have whirlwind :-(

Still I paged Colibri, asking if it was possible to just change the two handed attribute of the weapon to a one handed attribute (after all, if i decided to make it a mace, for 200ED, it would switch from two handed to one handed). Colibri confirmed me that it was possible, but it would cost 500 ED instead of 200. So as I have around 400 Ed's at the moment, the plan was to wait to get that additionnal 100 Ed to perform the change to the weapon.

Today, I learn that there is a one handed weapon that lets you perform the whirlwind special move, it's the radiant scimitar. Yahooo! I am going to be able to make this godly hammer a one handed weapon.... Hum, sceptical like I am, its better to craft one real quick and try it... Ho noes!!! Like ALL the mondain legacy weapons that i tried, special moves don't work.

Well, as I mentionned more then 8 months ago that short magical bows were broken (no special moves working) and nothing has been done about it, I think I won't hold my breath waiting for the radiant scimitar to work, and I will gather the 100 additionnal ED's to to give a second life to the weapon i really love!

A few years ago I ran a server right about the time that the Elf items were being added to the OSI servers.
I vaguely remember those very same issues with the scripts that were released on RunUO for all of those items. In the end, I figured out how to associate the various special moves, but adding the script to my server at a later date had an adverse affect on existing items (up to and including items getting deleted from players' inventories!! :verymad: )

Eventually, because we had a very small players base at the time, we made notes of everyone that was using one of the items, added the script, then manually adjusted the items for the few that had them originally. On this server, with it's much larger player base, that would be a nightmare!

However, it may be possible to simply change the ItemID graphic to that of the Radiant on your Hammer (one of my all time favorite weps, btw!!) and the special move still work. I can't remember, but I think my solution back in the day was to abandon the pre-made scripts and graphically change existing traditional weapons. Only traditional special moves would work, though, and any special moves that came exclusively on elf weps were replaced by something traditional.

Just the thought of a one-handed Titan makes me drool!!
