Worse Than a Red: Its a Picky

Now days with the picky beetle, having someone snake all the gold at the end of the champ has became the new PvP. I thought for sure that this was just a myth and players really didn't participate in this lowly of acts, but they do and even worse have no remorse or care for anyone else involved. I believe the response I got was " I really don't do the sharing thing". Is it possible that this be more than just frowned upon in public chat and actually become a DON'T for our shard before its too late to still call ourselves a family shard. If I'm wrong and this is a DON'T, please post a link to rules stating thus.

It's quite complicated, actually. The picky beetle does make it worse - quite worse.
But the most prepared will always be able to take advantage of it. That's a attitude issue, and not only a possibility (in case, the picky) issue...
You can, for example (and with a lot less sucess than a picky), use the scavenger agent in Razor, and then use a bag of sending every time you get full.
I, myself, use a picky - just to make sure there will be a spliting afterwards.

I dunno, it's pretty simple, if you aren't there by 8 candles get over it.
I've helped on numerous champs lately with absolutely zero issues, and that's getting there after it's already at 10+ candles. Either people like the help, or they don't. If they don't there are plenty of other things to go do.
Don't be a dink shouldn't be a hard motto to follow.

Well Harabakc, for some people it is a hard motto to follow. The hilarity of it is they don't think anything will come from it...

Yes the 8 candle rule is one thing but at the end i have seen this before. I actually have a list of people (most dont play anymore) that if they come to a champ im doing before the 8 candle rule is up I will just leave. I know they are going to take more of thier share of gold and or PS's. Then again if you just ride it out they will either leave or realize this is a family shard and play nice.

We are aware of this issue, quite a few players don't exactly understand our motto (as written on the codex): Have fun and let others have fun. Use common sense and respect other members of the community.
If someone comes barging in, looting all the goodies, simply page for a staffmember. Hopefully someone will be online to resolve the situation. There is a plan to put a safety in, that should prevent this, but it hasn't been coded yet.

and by all means, if you possible can.. get a screenshot. If your using razor it is just a 1 click thing to do. It is easy to show you asked them to leave after the rule went into effect and they refused and it also gives us a name FOR SURE to go by. just my 2 cents worth.

I am assuming you were there before the 8 candle rule? OR you had permission to help? If this is the case, then PLEASE PM me their Name. I am really interested in who it is that "doesnt do the share thing"

I could name a few as well. The greediness of some players continues to astound me. I think I'll do an ethics quiz on players before partying them lol.

Back on my EQ server board we had a [...] it was pretty effective in letting the community take care of dinks no one wanted to deal with. I personally hesitate to call people out until I really need to, but I'm not against it. If someone wants to be a complete asshat and not care then public humiliation seems fitting.
The only problem with it is the people who won't go through the paces to try and resolve something without going off the deep end first.

I would absolutely be against a "[...] list". I do my best everyday to help and I always share at spawns. But I did have some beef with a few players, for different reasons.
I am not the kind of person that would place anyone I have a small argument with on a [...] list, but some players act that way.
I have been jailed for 72 hours once I said to a player that he was on ignore and that I would do no more business with her. The player paged and said he was leaving the shard because of me. While I was jailed, I asked colibri to actually read what I told to that player, that it was no more than an argument between two players in private chat. Colibri FINALLY (after more than a day and a half and a gazzilion pms from me to him) decided to read, insted of judging by the word of a "trusted" player, and he released me right away from jail. What I am saying is that it is easy, even for a "trusted and respected" player to put somone on the [...] list.
And know what? That player that reported me, saying all her familly and her were leaving because of me, still plays on this shard.
So instoring a "[...] list" would be a hudge mistake, imo, as anyone can put you on it, and you only have the reputation of the said poster to make your mind, wich isn't much in certain occasions.
PS: Colibri did apologize to me saying he is only human. He has my full respect and I am greatfull for him to let us enjoy such a nice shard.

You know polar bear if you are going to state something at least get your facts straight.
I never page word one about you(Coli can confirm this),in fact I only spoke of what occurred to one person and that was AFTER I had in fact deleted and gave away everything I owned, the ONLY reason I came back is a very nice friend of mine kept emailing me asking me to change my mind and return, but alas my health matters more(I see a neurologist for MS this Friday in fact)and a loser like you just isn't worth risking being hospitalized.
I hereby ask you Coli to delete my account and do as you wish with all my possessions.
