Could use an explanation: Tokuno mobs & karma

It has been a long time since I played the original UO, so my thoughts might not be in perfect order here, but I was under the impression that blue named NPC's do NOT attack players. I was further under the impression that if you defend yourself against an attack, your karma shouldn't be whacked for doing it. So, I'm obviously confused as to what is going on in Tokuno, like in the mine for example... there are lords and ladies, blue, yet if you kill them AFTER THEY ATTACK YOU, you lose karma. Doesn't seem very fair to me ... Are these there solely for those who wish to have - karma such as necros?

Please explain, because it's getting really frustrating. Thank you.

These NPC's go grey when they attack... At least they do on me, Not noticed any loss off Karma either... I take it you are going the positive way in Karma not negitive?

Trying to ... I have around 9K of karma, had it maxed, but used it for sacrafice ... but yeah, when I kill one of them, I lose 300 - 400 karma each time :/

Karma doesn't have anything to do with sacrifice.

That's just how some things are in tokuno.

other mobs that auto hostile and give bad karma (i support your thinking bad karma should not autohostile) but some ezamples in tukuno of this are tsuki wolves revenent lions aswell also these things are viscious poisoners to the non-advanced players

Also, in the ice area, those "Lady of the Snow" or w/e they're called... another one that attacks yet gives bad Karma.
