Just a word for thought...

Post by Licos »

Once again, I would like to thank the staff for keeping up such a wonderful and successful shard. Love the player base and love the content. The new staff additions look like great additions, and there seems to be alot more love going to the younger players in the form of player and staff based events and equipment supply. Can't praise enough...It's not said nearly enough. Not even close...

With this in mind I move to another thing I feel compelled to say. I can't believe how many people I have been seeing lately who are complaining about this shard because it's not doing what they think should be done (Note: This does not encompass people bring up ideas and concerns respectfully). To me, this is very illogical. If I've been a regular visitor to a movie theater for a while and they start changing some things around or they are not lowering their prices to where I think they should be, I don't sit through a movie complaining and moaning about how many things are wrong about the theater. I leave... Same applies here. There are many shards with their own dynamic atmosphere and community, and rather than sit in one that you clearly are experiencing anguish in, why not shop around?

Now, I'm not saying everyone with a slightly different point of view or contribution should leave. I'm saying that those who find themselves complaining more than showing appreciation for a system that is a well oiled machine that has survived 3+ years and has been a successful online community, should probably do some thinking regarding their place in this shard.
