Trash Bags

I'm sure there are good reasons for taking the 'clear' option off of the bag but just want to say that it makes things rather annoying. I personally like to test various items to find out what token value they give to figure out if it is worth wasting my time looting them or not. Also, when mass making objects for leveling, real quickly run into the "that container cannot hold anymore items" whatever message. Things that aren't sellable, like fancy wind chimes, I put into my trash bag and empty it every so often.
Just hoping there can some kind of compromise or so...

Indeed... ok as far as i know there's 2 possible ways to exploit that bag, ... i guess we could also try so staff would get messages of possible exploiting.
But once we get more people that would be hard to manage.
Othervise, every item gives you a random of 2-5 tokens.
Well there has to be a countermeasure to the exploit, if anyone knows a better solution let me know...

maybe only be able to clear it "X" times every "Y" hours? (if that isn't hard to script, I am no scripter, so I have no idea fi that is possible)

hard to make any suggests not knowing the exploit. not sure if this would be the same thing or not...but maybe a seperate bag that has a much shorter timer..or ever autoclear everytime something is put in it.

The only exploit I can think of is people moving REALLY heavy items in the bag to another location as it takes 3 minutes to decay and it drops the wieght when you place the items in the bag. Otherwise, the bag is perfect. I really don't see anything wrong with it.

It's time someone invents a disposable trash container with bags stored on the bottom for convenient reloading. This would be much more sanitary for household bathrooms. As one bag is filled and pulled out the new clean bag is pulled up by the exiting bag much like Kleenex disposable tissues.

i think the exploit i think he's talking about was that some people were using it like a bag of holding. stick a bunch of wax in there then run and sell em real quick before they went poof. that's why he made it that when you opened it up it cleared on it's own, but people were losing items they accidentally put in there. then he made it where if you recalled it would clear, and again people were complaining about loss of items. the only way around this would to make the bag have weight and give a gump message "you sure you want to clear this trash bag?", and a second gump saying "this is your last warning to check this bag for anything you may have put in here. items trashed in item bag do not qualify for the item retrieval system." might be a pain for the 2 messages but people are people.
peerless is the main problem i have with the "no clear" options. all those scrolls and weapons while trying to find uber jewelry.

why even bother with the trash bag? the gains are so low its not worth the time to use. As to people "loosing" items they "accidentally" place in the bag, live, learn and stop crying!

Could we just keep the bag the same, but make it hold unlimited items?

i don't think you could do that without changing the main backpack count. :O maybe a manual clear on and off ability. oh that might take a lot of scripting.
