I'm pretty sure it's some sort of cheating tool.

I am sorry to say but it is a sad day when you would have to let alone want to cheat by making changing or altering the game for monetary gains. especially when gold is to easy to come by. I think any of those that wish to cheat and ruin the essence of the game should not only be banned from this server but stripped of all assets acquired while they were here. small amounts of 50k or so? come on now. small amounts, large amounts, does it really matter when you know darn well 50k pile(s) that are then easily turned into 100 50k piles and so on buying up the market destroying the economy and the game for a lot of people. Do yourself and all of us a favour and if you decide you wish to cheat. [go away] we don't want you. If this is not in fact a way to cheat then I apologize for this is meant towards a cheater. Also i am glad to see link was deleted by staff giving me the impression it is in fact a way to cheat.

I have done some searching, and this post is in many forums on the net...the same exact post.

To me, this situation reeks like a trojan for the one downloading...but I can't tell because I'm not stupid enough to check it.

I recommend not downloading the file. You risk compromising your computer and may have to format-reload to fix it. Also, you risk logging onto your character for the last time after running the file. Since this post is aimed at Ultima Online players, there is a good possibility that it's just people trying to wreck havoc on the accounts of innocent players.

Also, it may be the last time you log onto your character if I see you using a duper/creator...and I'm always around ;)

If you come across such things, I strongly recommend that you not download/run these kinds of programs.
Well, even if it's clean, I can tell you that editing packets won't do you much good, because every action your client sends to the server, gets checked by the server. On another forum I overheard something about how nice it would be if he could keep sending "equip packets" to the server (trying to equip like a hundred different items) but unless if the server is coded very poorly, that kind of meddling wouldn't succeed.

BTW here's a packet sniffer/editor that i believe could be 100% clean, it's from microsoft and I'd say it's legal to use: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Of course, if you do find any exploits on our shard, abusing them can get you in serious trouble, like on any other game or system. But informing us of things you might find keeps the shard fun even for those who play as the game was designed to be played, and also qualifies for a reward :)
