Re-obtaining boat control sextant?

I somehow lost my magical sextant. Tore apart every container in my house and bank, and I'm sure it's lost. When I tried to repeat the quest, I found out that it awards only gold. Is there any way I can get another?

I don't know if you can ever get the quest reward one again with your own two hands, but you could try either of these:

1.
Obtain a regular sextant from a tinker of little skill, it's a very simple craftable and will at least let you see the coordinates for messages in bottles and so on.

2.
Buy another magical one from a new player who doesn't value it as much - possibly direct them to the quest so they can complete it with the intent of obtaining the magical sextant for you for a negotiable fee.

Well i guess you can buy another one from another player, it would be good if they are aware they wont be able to get another one as well.

If you want to control your boat, there's a somewhat simpler way though. There are preset macros already in your client, for the regular boat commands. I think it's ALT or CTRL plus NUMPAD keys. Try toggling your numlock if it doesnt work.

sometimes i have trouble with the ctrl+numpad macros, don't know if anyone else does, but usually if i try holding ctrl+alt or crtl+shift or even ctrl+shift+alt with the numpad, it'll start workin. Just thought i'd throw that out if you have the same problems as i do

I have as well used the numlock macros using control + shift (number) however i changed which one is what button but not the initial command to get it to work (ctrl shift 1,2 ,3 ,4 ,5 . .. .) I may actually have one of those sextants too as I think i may have done twice before so if i have an extra I will gladly help you out with it otherwise i can make you a sextant pretty easy. Just give me a msg sometime to remind me.
