When I logged it today, it came to my attention that the second person that come to this shard has left due to the looting rights. I think this is something that needs to be addressed asap. It should be set that if two people attack something, you can only loot based on the part you killed. So one person is not going to see the loot the other gets, only the part he is entitled to. No one should be able to look your corpse either. If I should die, no one should be able to come up and grab stuff off my corpse. This is normally only done in a PVP type shard or if in Private party you elect to allow them to loot you. Please look into addressing this, I would hate to see more peeps leave do to this.
Thanks,
Looting Corpses
Might be nice to have an option that allows everyone in your group to have looting rights to any kill made by a member within the group. As for looting player corpses, never tried myself but had no doubt in my mind that it was impossible until you mentioned it. Someone die real quick and let me try!
In theory, your looting rights are calculated on how much damage you did to the monster. Each corpse has a list of people that damaged the monster, including the amount of HPdamage they did, and i think you need a certain amount or percentage to be able to look into the corpse.
If you are in a party, you get the looting right as long as any party member has the looting right.
It would be very hard to make it so you only get half of the items and gold for example, of the entire loot.
As for the option to disallow partymembers to get looting rights from you, that is something that can be done.
