Hi everyone, i'm new in UO and need help with one thing.
I bought a customizable house that cost me 39k, and when I entered the customization mode there was 42k as inicial price. That price discounts the 39 k when it's over? I don't understand how it works.

well yes, the prices work strange there.
It is said in help, that when committing design you are refunded 90% of old design cost, and have to pay new design cost. But, that seem not to work. I have received about 95% refund.
As for initial design, it consists of basement tiles and thus has some value. So about 90% of it will be refunded when you commit new design.

The system here might be made a bit differently. You pay for just the extra tiles put in, plus an additional 10 or 12k gold for the committing. And well if you have removed a few tiles, that can mean you just have to pay for example 4k.
