I was wondering if it would be to hard to set up a Guild Message Of The Day function into our current chat infrastructure, i'm not sure of the coding that has gone into the chat add-on we have in game here at Excelsior, and I've honestly never seen any kind of gmotd put into place on any other private shard i've ever seen

But it would be quite nice

something a guild master could set up, and perhaps give permission to a couple different people to adit.

The simplest thing would be to record a macro with you saying something, and then play this macro like every 30-60 minutes (can just set up a delay and leave it running).

Yeah, I brought up the same idea about a year ago but it never happened, so I ended up resorting to exactly what Coli suggested. Coli, you really should set something like that up someday if you have time...you could just make it another option on the guildmaster's section of the guild stone(so no GM assistance needed). Then the guildmaster could just change it from the stone whenever it needs to be changed, and then that message would be automatically displayed to each member of that guild each time they logged in. That would be SOOOO useful.

I actually had a uni-dyed book I used as an announcement board for a while, but then I forgot to lock it down one day after editing and it faded
