Vendor Towns Suggestion

As we all see, there are more players lately and since Tokuno Vendor Mall opened up (and filled up) it got me to thinking about something. I would like to suggest some kind of reason to visit the other towns in Trammel. One way I see this would be to have a Player Vendor Specific area or building in each town. Like for instance, since Brit has the main Animal Breeder, one building say, south of the river could be for "All things Tamer" player vendors.
Since Moonglow is called the City of Mages, maybe a building of "Scribes or Potion Player Vendors.
We still might be too small to be so spread out, but I thought I would toss this out anyway. I remember the days on OSI when player vendors were only at houses. I loved that!

You know how much lag that would reduce, and the time it takes to load AAAALLLLLLLL that stuff? i goto TC and i go take a 3 hour nap and come back, as the One thing i just wanted to view FINALLY lets me... lol
im sure it wont be that hard, like in the world teleporter, have a spot that you can goto "player vendors" and all the teleporters to whatever your looking for, mage stuff (moonglow), potions scribes (vesper) and so forth... yes brit could be the Tamers, pets for sale...
come to think of it, that sounds like alot more work intended, seperating each catagory into its own town, which would be really cool... or go back to OSI style

The only problem i see here, how would we make sure that what people sell in a certain area really belongs there? Well if everyone sticked with the rules it would be an awesome thing to know where to go and have everything there you need.

I agree we need another vendor area in a real town. I have never seen a player vendor mall last any length of time. However, to me, devoting each town to a certain type does not seem like a good idea. Many vendors, including my own have a variety of goods on them that wouldn't fit into one area. That would mean that players would need 2 or 3 vendors to be able to sell all their goods. This would greatly increase the number of vendors on the shard and increase the amount of clicking a player would have to do to get through all the stuff. ...just my 2 cents

Well i think opening another makoto zento wouldn't do much good, just another place with tons and tons of vendors to search through. So if anything, I'd go for some sort of a category grouping thing.
There's actually also a Vendor Search Menu that Smithus Veradius scripted and sent me, needs some more tweaking though before it goes in. So that will help with finding an item.
The problem i see here is, in the area of spellbooks and potions, someone might add just 1 sword to their vendor (thinking, why would i open another just to sell this sword). Then a few days later, another vendor puts 2 potion kegs... and so on, and very soon we have yet another mess. Well, us staff could check them but we have enough other work on our hands already, so although the vendors might be nicely checked every few days for a few months, then there could be a period when they won't get checked at all.

I would be all for removing those areas, they're kinda laggy and all...
I wouldn't mind doing/maintaining a giant rune library of all known vendor-locations (Atleast it would give me something to work on other than achieving 54xGM...)
Or it could give rise to sub-grouping of vendors who have similar goals.... like a reasonable-pricing-association.

To be honest I have no problems with the loading when I go to these areas, I never even thought twice about anyone even having that problem.
But one big thing I loved is to have it so vendors are only at peoples houses, This would then cure the lag problem around these areas and also solves the problem off "do we add another area, Or try cut back on what we have"
But I'm 100% for getting rid of these areas to go back to peoples houses.
