I dont understand this. It is better to send Dollars for me than Euro. It is better for the dollar exchange rate.
Or there is something better ?

5 Dolars - 50 Eds - for me -> 100 Czk
5 Euro - 50 Eds - for me -> 125 Czk

From what I understand what there is standing it means that the ED will be more expensive.
5 EURO = 6.1 USD

For 5 EURO you get then 50 EDs.
Before you got from 5 EURO=6.1 USD 60 EDs (The USD as value)

Always knew the Euro would smeg things up, just didnt realise it would ever hit anything like Excelsior lol. well at least the UK still has the GBP...for now.

Maybe I am just not understanding the "why do this" part. Based on what it says staff have decided to make things worse on the player who donates and easier on the people who run around playing hide and seek? I am very happy to say there has not been a moment in my life (fairly long one at that) where I thought hide and seek was entertaining.

It was easy to send you 50 dollars, get a few eds to buy something an item bless deed so I don't lose something else and be on my marry way. If I had to wait a few hours or days for you to be available, I was very okay with this because I do understand you have a life. Now I have to spend 65 dollars (at this moment) or figure out the current exchange rate to accomplish my same little task. I get something, you get something it all worked before.. now more of a hassle.

NOT COOL! I have only made two donation so far, and i calculated the donations ammount based on what i wanted to get ingame, so order to make a donation i had to save for it, im in no way rich ennough to make donations has i please. Now i wil have to donate even more to get the same, that plainly sucks! I dont have ennough time to play to raise the kind of gold needed ig to buy Ed's, so i guess i will be donating less and less often, so who get the shaft ? is it the players who donate or the shard that might get fewer donations ?

If you are donating to help the shard, then anytime is good.

If you are donating to buy EDs, of course now is a better time, the price of ED is going up.

I've canceled this change, or postponed till sometime in the future (not anytime soon). Otherwise, what Melkor said 〃

It's easy to convert, just google "50 euro to dollars" and it'll display it on the top, that's what I do.

Im glad you decided to put this on hold. The world doesnt trade in Euros over the USD. You would probably shoot yourself in the foot with getting less donations from people just not wanting to donate due to lower rewards per dollar. You also have to be mindful over the percentage of people that do live in the United States that plays this game.

Would trading in Euros also have to add in a VAT? Or does paypal not include a VAT for gifts?

I know you may be trying to get more donation dollars. Maybe add a widget with the donation amounts and the cost of upkeep so people, if they do have money, can donate for certain things. Im always willing to drop a buck or two when I see something like that. Especially when you guys provide such an awesome service to your community.

eh. i'll donate anyways eu or usd, but what would be cool would be if you donated consecutively 3 months you get a 15% increase in eds instead of 10%. now that would be cool. i donate every month without fail; sometimes 2 or 3 times depending on how many people have bdays in that month. i just think 15% if you donated 3 months/times would give you the 15% bump. so many people's bdays ugh. lol. glad he canceled that cause i was thinking about putting on an event for a relayer deed (if i can get a deed for that)/500 eds. dunno yet.

That would be awesome. Im new here but the community plus the depth of crafting/breeding and things to do makes me just really love this game/shard. Have a veterans reward for donating. I'll be here a while would be nice to see some love to the veterans and frequent donors who are doing that because they love Excelsior.
