Did you know...
Yesterday i learned that when doing this quest, when all nests have been found and you have taken all your notes, if you go to one of the tunnels where there is sand and plant a GREEN TORN in the sand, a hole in the ground will appear just dbl click on it and you will find yourself in a part of the hive you cant go to, to the west you will find another nest, take your notes and then go back to the library you started your quest at and you will be rewarded with a rare fire seed!
Dont complete the quest untill you found the hidden nest!!!
Just wanted to share this info!

I told this to everyone in chat yesterday.

I'm Ellariel by the way.
To ID the seeds you get, just put them into the Seed Box and then open the box and look through the list. Just remember there are 17 types of plants, and it's random which kind of plant you will get from the Naturalist Quest. Once you get to know the hive really well, you can run the regular Naturalist Quest in 5 minutes or less, with a couple more minutes for doing the green thorn thing.
The Naturalist Quest will give you Aqua, Magenta, Pink and Fire Red seeds. Even though they're called "Fire" they look more like the Blaze ingot color.
The bees at my house are sitting on top of all Naturalist Quest plants. Some snowdrops there too just to fill in blanks. If you want to see what these colors look like, go to house gates, top level, south side, red tile - named "Ella's House." The bees are on the roof, on the right side.
Don't forget that if you do lots of plant breeding, maybe you will end up with Black or White mutation plants. These are even more rare than the Naturalist Quest "rare" seeds. Mutant plants cannot be pollinated, nor can they pollinate other plants. Same goes for Naturalist Quest seeds. Once these hit Day 9, mark as Deco, because there's nothing else you can do with them.

Ceara, i wanted to mention your name for credit on that find but didn't remember who i was talking to ^^!
You mentionned black and white plants, is that a random acurence or you need to mix specific colors and plant types?

I believe it's random, but player Shaarlee is the expert on such matters.
I for one never was successful, so I gave up on that project and don't breed/grow any more plants other than what I want for my house deco.
