So, without trying to break the bank with mistakes im looking for a good bow that suits my preferences, i seem to have found it.

it is inside a bag labeled looted weps, yet the weapon is a petrified yumi. how can i be sure it is indeed a looted weapon? and then even after that does a material looted weapon still count towards the 5 points per level rule? or will it be classified as a crafted wep can recieve 3 per level?

Well, this one is quite tricky.... from what I have seen (and I might be wrong) I haven't seen a looted petrified yumi. Most petrified yumi are crafted. I guess it doesn't have a tag that says crafted by or exceptional.... It does help if you can take a snap shot of the bow which by then most experienced and vet players can tell you whether it's a looted wep or a crafted one. If it's crafted then 3 points per level applies.... hope that helps.

Unfortunately not, the vets cant distinguish anything different from myself about the stats, i had hina look it over and she said it doesnt have a crafter tag. yet when asking [xxx] he said yumi's dont drop, hina says yumi's do drop, my efforts to prove [xxx] wrong have failed and im now sat with this bow without a crafter tag not wanting to use a deed on it since i dont want to waste 100k tokens :O dum dum dur, gunna wait till colibri is about before i use a deed on it, seems like the best thing to do.

Well i can say after asking a gm that there is no looted Yumi's on the shard! So it is in fact a crafted Yumi. The only 2 Yumi's that can be looter are the Horselord and Hanzo's Bow which are Tokuno artifacts.

About distinguishing them a good way is to check the durability, i personnaly never saw a looted weapon with more than 100 dura!

Or you can buy the yumi I have leveled

Honestly, if it fits your fighting style... I say slap a level wep deed... 100K tokens comes easy just go to doom for a couple of days and voila you get 100K tokens. Like thorgal said, I myself haven't seen a looted petrified yumi... I have looted 3 x 46% bows and composite bows. Or you have the option of buying Penny's 100 level bow

This. In fact, no tokuno weapons are dropped on monsters. The only ones you can get are the artifacts or crafted ones. (excluding weapon changes)
