Excelsior

So I posted this in the video contest thread but felt it deserved it's own. I'd like to put together a trailer for excelsior myself, contest or no contest. I'd like to step it up a notch from just screen shots though so if there is anyone that can supply video please let me know! I've made up a very short title to give you a teaser of the quality I'm aiming for. (Not in terms of in-game footage... I have none atm)

I'm uploading some video I took when I was pretty new. Was recorded to show some one about curse weapon and whirlwind. I'll give a youtube link when it's done. If you want I can send the original file.

If possible I'm hoping any footage used includes in-game audio. Exciting, funny, anything!

download a programme called Camstudio, it will record what ever is on your screen and you can do whay ever you like!

Or fraps. Either way I think community involvement to acquire the footage I'll need will help speed the process along.

Bad quality on youtube, the avi is much better, I also have one from terra. I can zip and upload to a file host if you want to get the original files and cut out bits of what you want. Or not, won't hurt my feelings =P

I don't like fraps, i blame it for my video card failing because i didn't update my drivers and i put to much stress on the GPU by frapsing high res stuff from Muru in warcraft =(

Are you saying hot enough to discolor the metal heat sink and cause burns on my fingers is NOT the preferred operating temperature of a GPU?

I think you are right about Fraps not working with UO...that is unless you make UO fullscreen and even then you might have video glitches every few seconds... but whatever the case may be any help is appreciated.

the GPU in my laptop started doing that about a year ago, it was so bad the heat spread to the CPU and caused the CPU to throttle performance to keep itself cool, meanwhile the damn video card is running at 215 degrees F .... FML

My solution was to take the cover off and stick a 10 inch fan under it. It runs a lot better now XD, not very portable tho, but I dont care about that. I have come to learn there is no such thing as a gaming laptop.
