World saved and server crashed. Aprox 10:00

I hope I am still alive .... Was in Felucca Wrong dungeon with 20mobs around me when this crashed. !!

I was doing my Bees with all 5 of my Maxed Dogs out. *Cringes at the thought of losing my dogs*


Also, I had JUST bought a +5 Dex scroll and wanted to afk train overnight to get those 5 points. *Waits Patiently*

My pets and I were killed just before the crash. So I'm real curious what I come back to.

still down, im new here and this is the second time the server has gone down this week. is this usual? i dont really want to invest my time into this shard if it crashes every week.

its not just the crash tho, its the time it takes to get it restarted!

I have been here 3 months, play most of everyday(online college and macros go hand in hand) and this is like the longest I have ever seen it take, and I can't recall more than one or two other crashes that took more than 1-2 minutes.

No this is highly unusual here. The server is quite well maintained normally. I'm sure it's an issue the Server Master is working on and will correct as soon as possible.

So it's been an hour and I'll have to leave soon. What would that mean to my corpse/pets? Are they just gone?

Well the server SAVED JUST before it crashed. So if a REVERT happens there shouldn't be Anything lost. (Don't quote me, I don't know what the issue was that caused the crash, just speculating.)

Typically if a server crashes, if you had pets out they will be shrunk and in your pack when you log back in.

If by chance you were dead when the server saved, you might have lost items, since your body will NOT be there when the server starts back up, making normal recovery impossible. But even items lost in this way CAN be recovered. Page a GM, explain the issue, and they will either restore your lost items, or in the worst case, tell you that you need to contact the Server Master (+Colbri) and have him restore the lost items (Which could come at a cost, but like I said, this is worst case scenerio.)


Yes it is a HARD hit to lose items, time, gold, etc due to a server crash, but this is an UNFORSEEN event that could not be prevented by either player or Server Admins. Noone is to blame... BAD things sometimes happen to us all.

I, myself, have lost several hard to replace items due to either my own mistakes, or the rare server malfuntion. NOTHING is irreplaceable though. Granted it might take more time than you wish to invest to regain the lost items, but none the less it IS POSSIBLE.

Server Crashes, and Malfunctions happen on EVERY shard, even on the OSI shards. Leaving here for some other shard simply because of one or two such malfuntions for some other shard, simply means you're gonna have to start all over from scratch somewhere elese, and I can guarentee the day will come when a simiular malfunction happens to them as well.

I've played for over 2 years, and can verify that this is highly unusual! +Coli has been known to rush home from work to fix server problems, which are so rare that I can only recall about 4 and none that have ever been this close together.

its no ones fault for the crash but the server should be restarted asap, so wheres the restart? if there is an issue, why have we not been told? i cant help but think the server admin are asleep and have absolutely no idea we're all waiting to get back on line maybe there should be more than one person responsible for restarts?
