Previous years winter event rewards... cannot get :(

I was away for an extended period last year and missed out on the winter event.
The reward item is very tantalising and I'm sad that I cannot get a hold of one because they are account bound.

Have you considered adding these items as rewards to permanent quests of similar (or harder) difficulty so that new players can acquire them?

Some items are only approved by Colibri in the first place because they will only be available for a short period of time. The 2011 and 2012 winter event rewards were such, he allowed them to be given as quest rewards because it was a temporary quest that would not be repeated in the future. While we understand this is a bummer for folks who miss out, it is a necessary factor in allowing us to make very cool items like that at all.

The ring from this year was a pretty good free item IMO. Better than anything you are going to find in that slot that isn't a relayer. Next year people will be wishing they had gotten the ring AND the cape, even though the bracelet (example, IDK what wil be given) they give will be equivalent. Last year's event probably wasn't as easy as some may think. I know quite a few people who did not get the Ice wrap, but instead got the robe or apron. Robe and apron were/are the same as maxed hive robe and Crimson Cinture if I remember correctly. Still free tho. Appreciate what you are GIVEN and you'll go far in life =)
